Cozy, Cheerful & Charming Cabin - Historic Julian

The location was perfect, very central and walking distance to the whole town of Julian. We stayed there for a wedding, and the cabin fit two couples: one of us in the bedroom/living room which had the large bed and two of us in the kitchen which had a bunk bed. The cabin is also cute and has character, the property is lovely with lots of outdoor space. We stayed there in the summer when it was pretty hot, but the air conditioning worked amazing and the place cools off well at night by itself anyway. The price was as good as it gets for the area, so great value especially since it fit four of us. Overall it was comfortable, convenient, and a good value. Host was prompt in returning my messages!

The automated message from the host states that booking.com could not process payments and that the preferred payment method was PayPal/venmo. I was confused at first because I had already payed though the app by card and it appeared to have been processed. I messaged the host and he quickly clarified that the automated message was outdated and that booking.com can now process the payments. The cabin has its charm, but keep in mind it is an older/historic property and fairly small. Everything was clean and well prepared for us, but there are unavoidable bugs given that you are in the woods. There were a few daddy long legs up in the corners of the ceiling. The bathroom is pretty small as is the sink. There also could have been more toilet paper. Overall I would recommend!! Just don’t stay here if you are a very picky person.

It was perfect. I just wanted to get the dogs out of the apartment after th xmas chaos and decompress. Mission accomplished.

It was not cleaned and nothing alike the pictures portrait in this platform, there was humidity, dusty and not clean,dog hair on bed sheets, couple fo bugs,stains on the couch, dirty floor, and a spare door in the bathroom that once opened leads to a hall, not a secure point though, since we arrived late ay night we had to sleep but immediately called cs on booking, we left the next morning because my friend and I got severe allergies reaction due to those pain points I mentioned, we were supposed to received a clean and comfy accommodation and it was a total disappointment for the price we paid

When we arrived, there was a lovely family of four already there. The owner, Mat, indicated that Booking. com had double booked the property. Everything in Julian was booked solid, so after an uncomfortable hour or so, Mat was able to find us a place in Lake Cuyamaca, which is about 10-miles from downtown Julian, and which altered our original plans. Nevertheless, Mat was a stand up guy and took care that we were not left stranded. From what we were able to see from our short time at the property, we noted that the exterior of the property was dirty and very non-inviting. We only saw the living room and it was not great. The property has a great location, but it does need a substantial amount of work in order to bring it up to a "rentable" state.

Good location a block from downtown Julian. 2 microwaves 2 toilets. Neighborhood cat named Kitty Kitty visited us. Big backyard should have brought a tent. No ghosts.

Linens do not appear to have been washed. Debris in the bed. Linens had a very strong odor. Spiders and webs in many areas. No ventilation so you can't cook without having the house smell and stay that way. No windows can be opened. Bathroom and bunkbeds are in the Kitchen. Bed in the living room.
