Property Notes

An Infrastructure tax was introduced by the Zanzibar government from 1st July 2015. The tax of US$5 per person per day is to be collected by the hotel accommodations from all inhouse guests on behalf of the Zanzibar Revenue Board (ZRB). This amount is payable directly on check-in. We accept MasterCard and Visa. Please be advised that all credit card payments will incur a surcharge of 3%. For bookings of up to 5 rooms, a different cancellation policy applies. Cancelations must be made at least 60 days before arrival to avoid a 100% cancellation fee. Additionally, prepayment is required 60 days prior to arrival. "A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location."

This is an attractive hotel, tastefully designed and furnished. The hotel provided everything we could need for an enjoyable stay. The staff are all very helpful and provide excellent service, and our dealings with the calm, friendly and helpful Mr. Ngulele set the tone for his team. The choice of food and drink is good and the quality was also good, with tasty local dishes on offer, as well as more traditional choices. There is a small program of activities and evening entertainment on offer, and excursions can be booked, such as the day to Stone Town, Prison Island and the spice farm, which we really enjoyed.

It seems strange that previous reviews have not mentioned the building work, next door - and I suggest checking the status of this before you book. We were in an Ocean Suite but instead of waking to the sound of the waves, we were usually woken about 7.30 to the sounds of construction. There was little point in making a fuss about it, as it was out of the control of the management, but it did take the shine off our stay, which would have been pretty much perfect, otherwise.

רעש בניה, החדר המוזמן לא התקבל אבל פתרו את הבעיה אחרי בקשות. האוכל חזר על עצמו כל יום ובעיקר לא טעים בכלל ולא טרי.
