Very basic (but fair in relation to the price) Some I it isle confusion - we were first given keys to the wrong room but very promptly sorted out

Directions to front door misleading took us ages to find it. Outside of property dirty unkept. lightswitch in bathroom looked health and safety hazard kept up with piece of wood, behind toilet seat dirty, leak in bathroom between loo and shower, my pillow smelt like urine, stain on bedsheet, only tea bags and milk no sugar no coffee . Avoid!

It was in a good location as my daughter was swimming at the national pool in swansea

On the website it was very misleading. We were to think that we had our own microwave and fridge in our room. We did not know that it was a shared accommodation. It states in our room we would have had a kitchenette. We were very disappointed with this.

The house is large, and the room is spacious. It was nice to have a parking space available for us. The kitchen is equipped with most of the essentials if you want to cook. The property has great potential, but it’s a shame that it is not maintained well.

The room was not cleaned properly and was very cold, with the heating only operating at specific times. The house was poorly maintained. The shower had issues, fluctuating between extremely hot and cold, and it couldn't maintain consistent water pressure. The bathroom floor felt unstable, the bed had stains, and the paint on the walls was poorly applied.

Unfortunately as soon as we entered the hallway there was a strong smell of damp and the same in our room. Although the room was clean the single bed had no duvet cover. We did not use the shower as it was too small. Everything in the room is outdated so needs a refresh I.e complete makeover, lick of paint, new rugs, headboard needs to be fixed to the double bed. Sorry this is constructive feedback for improvements even though the room is cheap but not suitable for kids.

I had a great time during my stay at Sketty, the house was cosy and welcoming, and I felt completely at home. The location was ideal for exploring because it was quiet yet still accessible to local stores and landmarks.

Unfortunately, nothing positive to say.

When we arrived, there was no hand soap in the bathroom. A plate, kettle and mugs were only brought to our room after we checked in, even though they knew our check-in timeframe before we arrived. I also noticed that the bathroom sink didn't look very clean, and when we got into bed on the first night I noticed some dirty spots on the sheets, but it was too late to have them changed by that point. All of these things lead me to believe that the room was not properly cleaned before we arrived, and it is clear that since management does not oversee the cleaning staff, they are not doing a proper job. The state of the building is also rather unfortunate. There is clutter and rubbish bags lying around everywhere - in the corridors and in the kitchen, and the place looks like a dump because of it. The kitchen downstairs is hidden away and unlabelled, so very difficult to find - and it's not the kind of place where you want to be opening random doors to find it, because you're actually worried about what will be on the other side of the door. The kitchen floor is filthy and sticky, so I didn't even feel comfortable to cook there. We also didn't get the room we booked - we got room 5 instead of 2. The keys aren't even on a proper keyring, so they keep falling off the flimsy piece of wire that doesn't close. The pillows on the bed were so flat that they didn't even feel like they were there. Very uncomfortable and we left a day early because of it.
