The property had nice size rooms was very clean and had good facilities a large bar with plenty of seating a pool table and a nice swimming pool.

I can’t think of anything we didn’t like

Excellent Location, friendly and helpful Staff, cleanliness and comfort.

Hotel would benefit from music or entertainment to attract guests into the Lounge Bar in the evening.

Ontbijt was minder maar kan komen door weinig drukte in naseizoen. Dus geen ontbijtbuffet wat we gewend zijn.

The hotel is in a decent location with parking available. THe staff are really friendly and are always willing to help you. The Beach is also right infront of the hotel which makes it feel like its a private beach all to yourself. Especially between the hours of 6am and 10am. Lots of places to go to nearby that being restaurants for all dietary requirements as well as the pier. (In our view after travelling the island, it is the best pier there :). In the morning there is a communial balcony which you can enjoy drinks with the full view of the sea side. Even if you do not get a sea front view room, this makes up for it! The hotel is a decent size which can accommodate large groups, ideal for large family getaways. The pool and jacuzzi are increadibly clean as they are maintained on a daily basis. It certainly met our requirements :)

The breakfast times is really short, could be longer. The pool times could be extended to 6am for those that are early birds. These are small things but they can make a big difference to people.

Property has great potential, needs a lot of modernisation and money spending on it. It’s big, grand and location is fabulous

It was big and empty inside, no life or sparkle, no customers in the bar, in the lounge, very outdated. Food offering was poor and breakfast was over priced and poor quality. Shower was so small, even my four year old struggled to get into it.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand, getrennt durch eine Anliegerstraße und Parknischen. Unser Auto stellten wir auf einem kostenfreien Parkplatz ab, den das Hotel zur Verfügung stellte. Mit dem Linienbus kommt man ebenfalls vom Fähranleger Cowes bis direkt zum Hotel. Es ist ein älteres Hotel und sehr traditionell englisch. Alles ist in Ordnung und sehr sauber. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Vicky und die anderen Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption geben gern Tipps für einen schönen Urlaubstag. Hier ist man Gast und keine Nummer. Unser Zimmer war in der zweiten Etage mit Meerblick. Das war einfach traumhaft. Nachts hört man nur das Meer rauschen. Lediglich an zwei Abenden kam aus der benachbarten Strandbar etwas Musik. Aber gegen 23 Uhr war Ruhe. Wir haben jedenfalls immer gut geschlafen. Das Frühstück ist, wie das Hotel, sehr englisch. Die Tische sind eingedeckt und das traditionelle Besteck ist sehr sauber und poliert. Man kann zwischen dem einfachen und dem vollen englischen Frühstück wählen. Es wird am Tisch bedient. Die Preise für das Frühstück sind aus meiner Sicht niedring (Full Breakfast: £16; Light Breakfast: £8). Man kann am Morgen völlig frei entscheiden, ob man im Hotel frühstücken möchte oder wo anders. Nur wenige Meter vom Hotel ist eine Strandbar, die ebenfalls Frühstück anbietet. In einigen Metern erreicht man mehrere Restaurants, wo es ebenfalls Frühstück gibt (auch kontinental). Wir haben alles getestet. Das Hotel bietet auch Abendessen an. Wenige Meter vom Hotel gibt es Geststätten, die ebenfalls gutes Essen anbieten. Hinter dem Hotel gelangt man zu zwei Lebensmittelgeschäften, in denen es alles gibt, was man benötigt. Hier fahren auch regelmäßig Busse in alle Richtungen auf der Insel. Fahrkarten kann man im Bus lösen, alles unkompliziert. Einige Häuser am Strand sind leer und kaputt. Das ist nicht schön für den Anbick. Aber wenn man genau hinschaut, spürt man die Geschichte, die in diesen Häusern steckt. Der Ort hat Zukunft
