GBHuge old house divided into three apartments, private drive lawn and shrubs and trees. Lovely walks along the river to Durham. Well equipped kitchen. Didn't try out the sauna as the weather was so lovely we were out all the time
Had to chase to get sent the key code. Netflix stopped working on our last night. Something that the hosts couldn't help was that one night the people upstairs were moving about until 1.30 in the morning and we could hear every footstep
GBGBThe property was clean and bright with a sunny patio, a huge garden to enjoy and plentiful parking. The location was perfect, being able to walk into the city or take walks along the river.
Whilst the kitchen was clean and had all the basics, we would have liked to have cooked more. If there was an improvement to make it would be to have more cooking implements such as oven trays, dishes etc
GBAmazing location and such a beautiful building. Very close to the centre, but absolutely no noise whatsoever. Massive perk of having a sauna to use too! Perfect for the cold January weather. This place has everything you need and I would highly recommend this place to stay.
GBThe reason I have left such a bad review is that we believe there may be some misrepresentation concerning the property shown. We received a phone call around 15 minutes before check-in was possible, telling us there were boiler issues and the property could not be used. We were then offered a flat above a garage, which is in no way comparable to the property we had booked. After refusing this, we were then offered a house in a location which was in a completely different area, which we did not want either, and asked for a refund. After some discussion we were promsied a refund, which we still have not received.
GBVery pleasant flat. Great location (20 min walk from the train station, 15 min from the cathedral, 20 min from the campus) . The property is very well equipped and clean. The garden view from the flat is beautiful. The place is quiet and peaceful. Communication with the owner was excellent. It is also nice to have a sauna for yourself!
Early in the morning, you could hear footsteps from the neighbours on the floor above.
GBThe apartment is situated in a very nice part of Durham City and is within a 10 minute walk to the centre. Peaceful with beautiful views over the large garden area. We used the brand new sauna which was fabulous, from switching it on it was at a perfect temperature within 15 minutes. The apartment itself is very clean and modern. Brand new fridge, freezer and appliances. Lovely for a peaceful and tranquil break but still close enough by foot to the restaurants, bars and the tourist sights that Durham has to offer. We will definitely be returning soon 😀
