"Bad"

The town centre round the corner

Everything.. Getting chased for money the day before. The blunt and rise messages laying down the law.. Then you get to the property... Squeeze passed all the bins to get to the property. Opening 3 heavy doors along the way (painful if you're not strong, carrying something or have a dog/child).. On entering the property it looks quite nice. Then you realize how bare and 'cold' it is. First thing we a 4.5hr drive we switched on the kettle ams went to turn on the TV. It didn't work. The WiFi wouldn't comment to the Internet. Rebooted. Still nothing. Ok. The 'sofa' we're on feels like concrete and actually hurt to sit on, so i chilled in the room! Toilet not fixed to wall, which makes for a 'wobbly' uncomfortable experience. Shower was warm but the tray quickly fills and overflows. No bath mat. Kitchen. No hot water from the sink to washup? Day 2 i step into a puddle of water on the floor. I open the cupboard door under the sink and there's a frying pan overflowing with water!! What the hell.. Partner points out the black mould in the lounge and bedroom. Lovely.. You're right on the corner of town too so it's noisy all night long and needless to see you here hardly any sleep with the constant disturbance. . We arrived Thursday and made the owners aware of these issues. We're ignored. I complain. We finallt get a response Saturday with an offer to send someone round. I said it wasn't worth it as we'd be leaving in the morning. Requested they don't send a stranger round on our "break". Someone turns up to "look at the shower". Whole experience was an absolute joke. Even down to the ridiculous checkout message hoping we'd had a great stay! They even tried to say the people before had no issues with the TV. So i go back to look at the property reviews.. There's new ones on there, since i booked complaining of everything i highlighted!! So they were well.

"Really bad stay that could have been so much better."

It was very central to the town with a short route to the sea. Very spacious. That's it unfortunately.

Mould around windows. A sofa that was so uncomfortable that it triggered nerve damage. The tv and WiFi weren't actually connected to anything. There was a leak under the sink with a frying pan catching the drips. However it ended up on the floor as the leak was coming from elsewhere. Blinds couldn't be opened without a view of parked cars and bins and streams of people using the "Brighton secret" shortcut and parking for the centre. The parking space was disputed, we were offered a spot outside a derelict building in another street. My partners first words when we sat down were " I'm glad we aren't here for a week" and we considered cutting the stay short. Perhaps a few touches would have made a big difference. A proper ding table and comfortable seating at a minimum.. Sorry I had to post this but this company has a lot of properties and cutting corners in the wrong places makes for a bad experience. The pictures show what we arrived to , one of the mould patches and the kitchen leak.

"An amazing central apartment"

The location was awesome. Everything you need is in walking distance. We rented this apartment for a weekend break. Very well maintained and lovely appliances. Main bedroom beds were very comfortable. Great night sleep, aided by blackout blinds! Large living area and kitchen dinner! Large bedroom and lovely bathroom.

Wasn't really an issue for us as we were out most of the weekend, but couldn't get the TV to work and as the apartment is ground floor, can't really open the blinds as everyone walking passed can see In. But I would 100% go back!

The apartment is run by an outside agency & the lady I spoke to (Terry) was really lovely and helpful. The owners couldn’t of made their ‘welcome message’ any more unwelcoming and continued to send unwelcoming messages throughout our stay. Here they are just so you don’t think I’m exaggerating. Dear David, Thank you for choosing our accommodation. We look forward to welcoming you to Brighton & Hove. We work long hours and would prefer communication is done via messaging, rather than phone calls as we have staff covering until 10pm on the platforms and email. We will reply your messages through your booking site promptly. ARRIVAL TIMES Please note that our check in times runs from 4pm to 10pm. PLEASE DO NOT try to arrive before 4 pm or after 10 pm. EARLY CHECK-IN/LATE CHECK-OUT Due to extra cleaning protocols and the need to ventilate between guests, it is unlikely we will be able to grant early check-in requests. If you are arriving early and want to drop your bags off, please inform us 24 hours in advance, we will let you know if that is possible based on our cleaning schedule. For late check-out, we charge our guest £50/hour after 11am. If you would like to have a late check out or extend your stay, please get in touch with us 24 hours in advance and complete the payment before the scheduled check-out time. In the meantime, it would be appreciated if you could confirm few details below: 1 Your estimated arrival time 2 Number of your attendees 3 Number of beds you need 4 A phone number we can get in touch with 5 An email address Access details will be sent on your arrival day. Don't worry. If you have any further questions, please do ask, you can contact us via the site you booked. We are here to make your trip memorable, enjoyable and safe. The phone numbers you will be given are members of the team who work from 9am to 6pm. Calls after these times are not appreciated.
