Wild Waves Kumana Safari & Surf Resort Hotel - Panama Near Arugam Bay

The caretaker family are very kind. It is close to the entrance to Kumana NP. The safari arranged through the hotel was good - we saw so many amazing animals. The room was clean. The price was very cheap.

The cabins are pretty isolated. In the village, there is a small convenience stand and a juice bar but otherwise there is nothing close by. The family who are caretakers speak very little English, as did the safari guide, which made communication difficult. Our cabin bathroom was pretty tired. I think the toilet seat and towel rail mentioned in a previous review were still broken. The blind was ripped. It was functional but not great. The AC finally managed to keep the room cool after being on for 24hrs solid so our first night was pretty uncomfortable. You will be charged for extra bottled water.

Had a really lovely stay and would definitely recommend it. The food was delicious, the safari was an amazing experience, and the staff were so friendly and looked after us really well. We'll definitely be back again in the future!

It’s was advertised and priced as a hotel, including safari and surf. It was miles from the surf, there were two units and it was a home stay. The restaurant provided a couple of home cooked meals which was useful, as the property was miles from anywhere. The booking was picked up by a third party who sold us a safari. They were very indignant that anything might be a problem. The staff had no English so communication was an issue. They tried. They were kind, but the said 3rd party exacerbated problems. The doors didn’t fit, we couldn’t shut the front door so the property was insecure. The bathroom door wouldn’t shut, there were insects everywhere, bright lights were left on overnight, the compound was walled, the stairs were wonkey, shower has hot and cold, alternately, toilet seat was loose. Amazingly on the middle of nowhere there was loud music at night time. $29 a night was way over what we had been paying over the last 3 months, and I was seriously hoping for better.

La ubicacion, los alrededores, estas en la calle de la entrada al parque. La habitacion es muy amplia, tiene agua caliente, el personal es amable y organizan safari a muy buen precio con un chico muy bueno.

No habia wifi. El dueño no esta en las instalaciones y los chicos no hablan mucho ingles, lo que hizo que a veces tengamos dudas sin resolver.

Nilante, the caretaker and her family make wonderful food and were incredibly friendly. Do not skip her rice curry. She also helped us do a Tuk Tuk safari of lake Panama which is very nearby and was the highlight of our stay. The cabins are also super close to Kumana for Safaris.

The reviews and photos suggested that the cabins were brand new. There are only two on the property. Ours was not new and the bathroom was not very clean.

L'emplacement est juste idéal pour le safari. Sinon il n'y a rien autour et il faut remonter vers Arugam Bay pour trouver de la vie

L’emplacement est loin de l’animation. Il manque une piscine pour le prix. Attention organisation du safari n’inclue pas les billets d’entrée.
