Windermere Lake View Retreat, Pet Friendly, Free Parking, Golf nearby

The location was excellent for exploring. The apartment is spacious, clean and has modern amenities, which makes for a great base. The host clearly goes to a lot of effort to make guests welcome with extras including milk and a bottle of prosecco as well as lots of dog friendly items. Unfortunately, the bed in the main bedroom is extremely uncomfortable and due to the metal frame it squeaks with any slight movement. We stayed for 2 nights and on the 2nd night we slept in the twin beds due to the bed in the main bedroom.

Absolutely loved the lounge overlooking the lake .the kitchen had all the little extras (condiments etc) beds were really comfy!

There’s nothing I didn’t like about the property and definitely would visit again! If I were to take my dogs with me next time I would like to see a side gate to the garden 😊

The property was clean and beautiful and smelt very clean. Julie has thought of everything you would need for a break away. She provided Towels, toilet rolls, hairdryer, even left milk, tea and coffee for our stay. Perfect location. Julie was a lovely host and on hand for any issues we may have.

Even though the property was only a short 7 minute walk into Bowness on windermere, be prepared for the hill, lol!

Lovely apartment. Nice view from the balcony. Good communication with the host. Lots of extras in the kitchen and even biscuits bedding and bowls for the dogs. Good to have off road parking too

Unfortunately, we found the bed to be extremely uncomfortable, and even though it looks great, we just couldn't get a good nights sleep on it. The frame on it made it very noisy, too. Thankfully, we were able to use the twin beds, or we wouldn't have been able to stay. Stairs quite steep maybe a problem for some

Loved our little stay here with our pup. The apartment is clean, cosy and there was a lovely bottle of Prosecco waiting for us on arrival, as well as treats for our dog. Local Thai takeaway highly recommended! Problem with the heating but the host was in touch immediately and it was sorted quickly! Yes - there is a short steep hill to walk up to get there. The Lake District is a hilly place! This was detailed in the property description and was not a problem for us!

If I had to be super picky the bed is a little creaky. But that’s all!

Oh my goodness what an absolute gem ! The apartment is faultless ., it has everything you could need and more. So clean and cosy. Like a home from home 10 minutes walk into Bowness .. and if you don’t fancy the hill… taxis are cheap enough 😊 Julie is a fabulous host and nothing is too much trouble. Messages answered very fast on even the most trivial question. We will definitely be back .. thank you so much xx
