The location was ideal—excellent walks, especially to Sidmouth. The accommodation suite was warm and comfortable, and, blessed with fine weather, it had a private garden to relax in. (Unfortunately, we were treated to a massive thunderstorm.) The hosts were friendly and welcoming. The food was exceptional - fine dining at its finest! The breakfast obviously did not disappoint. Andrew, host and chef, learned his craft in the UK's finest catering establishments and has tutored trainee chefs at catering colleges.

Perfect location to get to Sidmouth town centre. Beds comfortably and food was satisfactory...

Bathroom needs updating...

Excellent from start to finish. Location is a short walk away for the centre of Sidmouth via a lovely wooded/river walk. The Heather Suite was clean and we had all we needed for a comfortable stay. Dog friendly and our Stanley loved the doggy basket of goodies (especially the socks!) Dinner and breakfast were both excellent and it was lovely the chef came out to check all was ok and of there was anything else we needed. We will be back next year without a doubt. Thank you.

We were very warmly welcomed even though we arrived earlier than the check in time. This was our second stay here.

Excellent place to stay if you want to visit the Jurassic Coast. Great facilities in a historic setting Better described as "Restaurant with rooms" as the food was incredible!! Fabulous breakfast, and high quality evening menu in the restaurant Wonderful welcome from Annette and Andy, nothing was too much trouble

The breakfast was exceptional. Fresh sourdough bread, homemade fruit salad and lots of options.
