The Salty Monk Bed & Breakfast

We both liked everything about the Salty Monk, this is exceptional quality for a bed and breakfast establishment. Had a lovely chat with the owners very nice people. To anyone who is reading this feedback from us, we say to you, stay here you will LOVE IT!!!!

Very good, everything you could ask for was supplied.

The Toast selection wasn't what we wanted. Though I understand their reasons for not having fresh bread.

Everything. The warm and friendly welcome. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was top notch. Plenty of parking and a very enjoyable stay. We will be staying again for sure.

What a gem! Lovely place, such a warm welcome from hosts on arrival. Room was excellent, modern very clean and looking out on garden. Breakfast excellent, would highly recommend 😊

It’s so clean, cosy, inviting, comfortable, relaxing, friendly …… The food is extraordinary. Great location, parking, fabulous hosts.

Friendly, welcoming host. Very clean room. Very hospitable of dogs, provided a lovely welcome basket with biscuits and poo bags. Good communication with host, easy to park. There are a couple of nice pubs close by and a Spar up the road. Short drive to the beach and a lovely walk there.

The breakfast order form was difficult to understand. While we appreciated the efforts of our host, the breakfast wasn't to our taste and the portions were incredibly large meaning lots of waste. Some of the decor was a bit tired and in need of repair in places.

The breakfast was excellent. The decor was very interesting and attractive. The room size was good.

The smell of dog hit us as we came into the property. However, there was no smell the next morning. The room was cold. We were unaware there was no shower and because of a physical problem, bathing was not possible. There was no light over the mirror in the bathroom so I couldn't see to put in my contact lenses or apply eye make up satisfactorily. As in many places, no place to put used tea bags/teaspoons and so I can imagine that people carry the used bags into the bathroom - dripping on the carpet (not us I hasten to add, we used a little bag to save the bags dripping before discarding).

Really comfortable bed. The breakfast was amazing! Very friendly hosts.

The room was freezing when we arrived. The staff gave us a portable heater . Recently painted radiator cover smelt of paint throughout our stay.
