Scoresby's - 2-bedroom apartment with parking

The parking space and location.

The photos really do make it look much nicer than it is in reality. I was solo travelling with my two young children. The apartment is quite grubby and requires modernising. The carpets were filthy and the mattresses and pillows require replacing. The fridge wasn’t clean, the tin opener didn’t work and the cover window pane in the children’s room comes off its frame entirely. Curtains keep falling off the eyelets. Dirty tissues behind the cupboard. I was very disappointed as it wasn’t cheap per night but we didnt really want to spend much time in there as it wasn’t that good.

Great location and good to have off road parking

The apartment was not particularly clean. The shower was blocked with lots of hair and I had to clean it so that we could use the shower.

Location was pretty good and flat was quiet.

Areas weren't particularly clean and looked like cleaning had been rushed - crumbs on hob, out of date milk in fridge, shower wasn't clean. Also shower drain wasn't draining properly. Pictures looked a lot better than actual flat so was a bit disappointing, especially considering it wasn't super cheap.

The apartment was in a great location about ten minutes walk to the main town centre. Very spacious and plenty of space for a family. Very clean and lots of plates, pans and cutlery etc if you wanted to eat at home. We ate out both evenings due to family celebrations so didn't use the kitchen other than to make a cup of tea.

The only complaint I had was the pillows on the bed were very flat. I prefer a big pillow. There were extra pillows in the wardrobe which might help some but I have two feather pillows at home. Wouldn't let this stop us visit again I would just bring my own pillows next time

I’d booked the apartment when it was new on booking.com, prior to coming I looked at the reviews and was a little worried because of some of them….. however, on arrival to the apartment my worries were quashed. Adrian sent all the information over prior to our arrival, there was milk and some treats there for us. The property was clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable, and it was quiet. Television worked, it was warm and in a good location, I have asthma so thought I might struggle with the walk back from town but it was fine. I would definitely book and stay here again.

Location was great 5min walk into the centre of Whitby. It had everything you needed.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like all I would say is the sofa and chairs are a bit uncomfortable we stayed in Saturday night and found it hard to just sit and watch a movie. The microwave was a bit greasy on the buttons but I just gave it a wipe before using it.
