Church St. Retreat, Filey

Immaculate inside. Impressive range of kitchen equipment. Welcome basket fantastic and a very nice touch. Hosts flexible with checking out time when we unexpectedly needed a little extra time. Very helpful. Good location, close to everything needed. Tesco close. Excellent range of restaurants and pubs. Ideal.

Probably one of the nicest apartments I have ever stay in. Immaculate inside and with high quality appliances and products throughout. Brilliant communication from the owners. Great having keyless entry! No need to worry about taking keys out with you and if more than one person is staying you can all get in and out easily! Parked for free a couple of minutes walk away which didn't bother me. Town centre is on the doorstep as is the train/bus station.

There is a bit of noise from the pub across the road so if you sleep in the double room I would suggest earplugs if you go to bed early. Or sleep in the twin room at the back. It did not bother me though. You can people watch from the lounge window.

Great little flat with everything we needed

The apartment was so well equipped with everything you need , it was absolutely spotless , the host where very accommodating with allowing us early access and the welcome hamper was above and beyond our expectations, I had told them it was my mums birthday and the addition of a balloon made a 83 year old lady very happy . We took games but this was not necessary as there was games , jigsaws and more films etc than we could have watched in a weekend . Great location with easy flat walk into town .

Nothing it was perfect

It is such a comfortable apartment in a super location that is really well equipped, and the owners have really thought about the detail, including a really generous welcome hamper that inclued bread, butter, prosecco, crisps, chocolates, biscuits and mince pies!! Brilliant! Thank you!! 2 good sized, comfortable warm bedrooms, with spare pillows, bedding etc, an excellent shower and bathroom, with shampoos, soap etc and evem loo rolls all eco friendly products. The kitchen is really well equipped, the best we've seen, if you do want to cook and have family meals in there. All new and clean also. There is also a plethora of books, games, dvds, a PS4 and free view TV in a comfy lounge area. The apartment is 5 mins walk around the corner to a few of Fileys central streets, with enough coffee shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops and a couple more minutes down to the beach. As it was January and out of season, we were able to find a parking spot on the corner cross from the apartment, which was great. The communication and instructions from the owners were spot on and easy to follow, as was the detailed welcome brochure inside. Would certainly book again next time in Filey and great value, and haven't tried to overprice like any others do!
