Luxury 4 bed house in Coventry

It was a good place for a group of friends or family to stay. The rooms were all good sizes. The garden is a suntrap. It was an affordable option for us to drive to the NEC from.

This was an ideal location for work - a real home from home, parking and house facilities were everything you need, we just wished we weren't working such long hours and could have enjoyed the house and garden more!

Key pick up was very easy and straightforward. The kitchen was kitted out sufficiently for everything we needed and there were plenty of towels. Parking for 3 cars was good

Communication from the owners was very slow and it took them a few months to come back to a query at the time of booking. When we arrived at the property the fire alarms were not connected. I then went to connect them and they constantly alarmed. We managed to get the owners contact details from the welcome pack and were told that they were disconnected as to not annoy us during our stay and that they would be fixed when we left. We had to stress it was illegal to rent out without working alarms (we had a young child with us too so wouldn't run risks) at which point they arranged for a handy man to come who fitted some battery alarms. Throughout the property there were numerus other issues such wires which had been chopped off hanging out the walls and metal piping which had their connections taken away hanging out too. We didn't use some plugs as they were loose on the wall and didn't seem safe. These made us on edge with a newly walking child and limited how far we let them explore In the garden we also had to stop our child going out as we found the remains of a rotten rat in the middle of the grass which looked like it had been there for a large amount of time. As with other reviews the doors didn't fit the frames well on a lot of the rooms so were unable to be shut

Very clean house with comfortable beds. Good facilities and nice garden.

Curtains were really thin so sleep wasn't great as the sun shone through. Lots of noise late into the night from people around - couldn't shut the windows as it was hot and there were no fans. An alarm began sounding every 10 minutes from 6am on the Sunday. Not ideal when I had babies sleeping who were woken by it. Owners didn't seem bothered when I reported it to them.

Well kept property, great facilities very clean

Received a traffic penalty for driving on to the street leading to the property. This isn’t made clear at booking but appears no vehicles are allowed to drive on potters green lane prior to 3:45 unless you have a permit. This was not provided by the host.
