Hvammur 6 with private hot tub

Nice spot for a stopover; quiet and tranquil and the hot tub is a nice little bonus

Our hut was a little too small for comfort; fine for sleeping but hard to fit luggage and so on with any ease of access.

We have stayed at the property previously (in a different cabin) and already knew that the location and the private hot spring tubs were outstanding - our main reason for returning this trip. However, we would recommend choosing a cabin other than Number 6 if you want a bit of space, as the cabin is tiny and there is not even enough room to take bags in (we left them in the car and just took out what we needed). If you like Tiny House Living then this would be fine, but the other cabins are certainly much more spacious. That said, the facilities are pretty good and it's certainly worth it for having your own hot tub filled with the hot spring water that bubbles up from the ground just a few metres away. Highly recommended is a day-trip (if you have a stury car/4WD) to Krossneslaug hot spring pool on the beach, about 80km to the north along the one and only coastal Road 643. Spectacular!

Too tiny!

Struttura piccola ma comoda accogliente e curata con tutto il necessario. Riscaldamento a pavimento con termostati, tutta l acqua calda (compreso la doccia e la vasca) viene da una sorgente termale a 46° in continua. Ma il vero plus della casa è la vasca Termale !. TOP fatta anche la mattina prima di partire!

Cucina un pò piccola. Letto attaccato al muro (si scende precisi precisi solo da un lato)
