C'era Una Volta

We had an amazing experience at this accommodation! The host was truly exceptional, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He personally greeted us at the apartment and gave us a thorough tour of the place, offering great recommendations for local attractions and dining options. The apartment itself was fantastic—spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. It was just a few minutes' walk from the city center, which made it so convenient to explore everything. We were really impressed with the comfort and amenities provided, which made our stay so enjoyable. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better host or a better place to stay. Highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area!

The apartment was spotlessly clean, and we were welcomed with great kindness. There were plenty of sweets and fresh fruit waiting for us, which was such a lovely touch. The apartment itself is wonderful, but what truly made our stay exceptional was Giordano. He was incredibly helpful and always ready with advice. We had an incident with our car, and Giordano took care of organizing the entire repair. He definitely deserves a second set of five stars for everything he did for us. We felt we could turn to him for anything, and he made our stay even better — something that would have been hard to achieve with just the apartment alone. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay in Monopoli, and you couldn’t find a kinder and more helpful host than Giordano. From all the special touches in the apartment - including a huge bowl of delicious fruit, cold drinks, breakfast pastries and chocolates - to his help with a restaurant reservation, nothing was too much trouble. The apartment was immaculate, spacious and tastefully decorated, with a very comfy bed. We managed to get free parking in surrounding streets without too much trouble. The walk to the old town was only about 5 minutes, so a perfect location all in all. The old town and harbour was lovely, with great restaurants. Monopoli was a great base for exploring surrounding towns and visiting local beaches (some good free ones a short drive away). Highly recommend a stay at C’era Una Volta.

Nothing negative to say!

Very rarely do I give 10/10 but we were so impressed with this apartment. The location was perfect as we arrived by train and was an easy 5 min walk with cases from the station. It is also only a 10 min easy walk into the old town. Most of all I can’t thank the host Giordano enough. The apartment was very welcoming with fruit, water, biscuits, chocolate and wine. He was very helpful recommending places to go and restaurants to eat at. We had the best food at the restaurants he recommended. One day he drove us to Polignano a Mare for a boat tour. The tour was cancelled due to bad weather so on the day we were due to leave for Bari he rebooked the tour, took us there and then picked us up and took us to the station. Amazing. With regards to the apartment, it is well equipped, very homely and spacious. The air-conditioning in the lounge and bedroom are very efficient. There is a great supermarket nearby which also has prepared food if you don’t want to eat out. Thank you, Giordano, such a memorable time in Monopoli

I would have liked to have taken my mother to experience staying at this apartment but unfortunately, she would not be able to climb the approx. 20 steep stairs up to the apartment. Knowing Giordano, he would have carried my mum up and down the stairs. This did cause a problem for us. We loved everything.

Everything. The apartment photos don't show how wonderful the place is. The gifts offered were so kind from the hostess, the chocolate, some local biscuits for breakfast , wine and fruits. Also Giordano gave us lots of tips about cities close by and restaurants. The location is so handy, some free parking close by and 5 min walking to the old town. I could be there for 3 months leaving the "La dolce vita"

Giordano is an incredibly gracious host! He met me and helped me with my luggage and had so many treats for me for breakfast, snacks and beverages. He also organized a special lunch out for me and showed me around Monopoli including the BEST spot for gelato. He's one of the best and most gracious hosts I've ever met ;)

I would have loved to stay a few more days!

The place was very clean , close to historic area, easy to walk. The owner Giordano was excellent, he gave us directions where to have tasty meals , he was so kind and he drove us to Alberobello instead to take the train.We will come back to the place . THANK YOU GIORDANO

The apartment exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and fully equipped to comfortably support a stay from several days to several weeks. A very good value in a convenient location, very close to the train station for day trips as well as access to the old historical city district. Our host Giordano was the best host we have ever encountered in Europe. From our initial welcome to our departure, Giordano treated us like family, providing excellent local recommendations, making reservations, and providing helpful advice with very responsive communications. Giordano truly made our stay in Monopoli memorable, you could not find a warmer and more caring host than Giordano to experience Puglia.

The flat was bigger than I thought, it was clean and really well equipped. The host was super nice and he went over and beyond in order to fulfill my travel goal, which I had to replan. He was communicative and provided extra services for us. Thank you!

The flat was really cold when we arrived (this is an advantage for the summer, I think), but we managed to heat the rooms up after a while with the AC. ;)

If you're looking for a CLEAN, WELL EQUIPPED, stylish, central apartment then this one is the right choice. I truly recommend it wholeheartedly. It's even bigger than the pictures let you believe. And if this wasn't already more than enough, the host Giordano, he's the most kind, caring, attentive, respectful host you will ever meet. Giordano, thank you for showing us so much kindness and respect. Your attention to detail and your help have made our trip to Monopoli magical.
