"Amazing and lovely!"

8.0

This property is at a great location. It has good space for parking. Nicely decorated. Most of the essential items were available. Beds were comfortable. Hosts were very nice. They helped with what was requested. Great value for money!

Wifi could have been better, the network was poor throughout. Could use toiletries like shower gel if it was there. Maybe bath towels can be replaced!

"Okay but needs some love"

6.0

The nook is in quite a private area, I liked the quirky decoration. The location was good for us visiting family in the area. We felt that we could come and go as we wanted to. Had good amenities such as a hairdryer, TV, fridge, oven, free WiFi. The host was really friendly and accommodating.

We arrived late at night which we did communicate with the host, we felt guilty about having to knock their door for the key as we couldn’t get the key lock to work but they were accommodating. We stayed in December and the nook was absolutely freezing the first night we stayed. I slept in my bobble hat and pulled the duvet down from the top bunk. The radiators wouldn’t work and they’re really tiny and not really fit for heating up a space with such high ceilings. We would have really appreciated the heaters being put on for us before we arrived, it smelled quite cold and damp when we got there because it was so cold. We’d have loved just a little bit of milk and teabags to make a cuppa after 12 hours of travelling, and as we stayed over Christmas maybe a bit of tinsel or some lights , little touches like this would go a long way. We asked the host to kindly find us a fan heater for the second night which he did, and this made a big difference. We didn’t realise how high the top bed would be from the photographs and I didn’t let me daughter sleep there for fear she would try to climb down in the night, but some may not be too worried about that. In the night time it would benefit from a lamp. You can tell this place used to be a labour of love but could do with a bit more attention. The small courtyard at the front is shared with the owner’s home, it’s quite tricky to park in and we found that the host’s visitors had parked there, meaning we had to park in a side street, it would have been better if we could have parked outside the nook.

The Accommodation was lovely, very cosy.and it had everything that we needed. The pull out bed was very comfortable. It was in a perfect location for what we wanted it for.

I couldn't fault anything apart from the cleanliness in some parts. It was very dusty on all flat surfaces. A lot of cobwebs, the bathroom needs a clean eg: the tiles in the shower and around the sink and toilet. The towels had bleach stains on them.

"Great base to explore Brecon Beacons. Very clean and tidy, had everything we needed! Would definitely stay again"

10.0

Great property. It was exactly how it was described on the website. Very clean and tidy, and it had everything we needed! We loved the little extra touches such as the book for recommendations, and children’s colouring books. Good base to explore the Brecon Beacons. The hosts responded very quick to any questions we had. We would definitely book again and would recommend the Nook. Thank you for a lovely stay
