Makotel Hostel Ipoh

It was calm and clean, has maaaany clean and hot showers and toilets for females only, a perfect location, and the people in charge were so nice and respectful, the beds were comfy and had their own curtains and you get your own locker, I’d certainly book there again.

The beds were a little bit squeaky, but it’s not their fault.

Le lit grince un peu, cela peut être dérangeant pour certains. Basse saison et peu de monde, le ménage n'était pas fait tous les jours dans les toilettes. Mais ça reste propre

Es ENORME! parece un gimnasio en vez de un hotel, duchas para un equipo de fútbol. La ubicación está bien y el personal es amable. Todo limpio y correcto.

No hay lámparas en las camas, pero si las pides te las dan portátiles. Tienes para tomar té o café pero te cobran. No es un sitio especialmente bonito y acogedor, pero su función la hace.

Clean and tidy

Upon check in there is no staff at the counter have to wait long time to be serve...call the hp...unfortunately the was on the table..rang the bell still no one answered...bad experience during check out...same experience..should call the staff from the bed..

Clean environment as per pictures, big storage to store my bag in the room with key provided (not recommend for big luggage), water dispenser and fridge also provided, car parking in the basement (limited parking)

Air con feel warm

The place is nice cuz near many restaurants and viewpoint. The environment is comfortable and clean. The staff, Asif, is approachable and polite, providing satisfied service.

The shower and the living area. It is huge.

the curfew of 11pm... I understand that it is for the safety of everyone. but as a traveller we normally stay outside to experience the night life at the area

Each facility has enough space. 8showers (maybe more),6toilets.and more than 10 washing basin.So I never waited to use toilet and never worried about how much I taking shower. Dorm room and common space are also wide. I didn't have to worry about my stuff getting scattered around. Staff are so helpful. They gave me a very useful map,those are mostly walking distance and located old town. So this hostel’s location is perfect.I enjoyed city walk with this map! I want to recommend this hostel those who want to visit Ipoh with affordable price.

The toilet seat is low(lt’s not that serious) I got use to it, its just funny.

This is a really good hostel, one of the best I've stayed at in Malaysia. The staff are friendly and helpful. Very good facilities, separate women and mens bathrooms, with plenty of showers which is great. Good location within walking distance of the main attractions in Ipoh.

Only issue was the noise due to the mosque very early in the morning; this isn't the hostel's fault though and they do give you some earplugs.
