Hotel Boutique Inca Real

The breakfast was excellent.

The mattress was too firm for my liking. The pillows were uncomfortable. The bedding and furniture should be lighter and or updated.

Excelente breakfast and good location

Location was ideal; two city blocks from the main cathedral and central square, 3 city blocks from the popular foodie street and river, walking distance for everything we wanted in Cuenca

While the entrance and hotel itself are beautiful the rooms are incredibly small and don't have any outside facing windows. I'm not sure what this space used to be, it seems most likely an independently standing mansion with rooms surrounding central courtyards, but both rooms we tried only had windows facing an inner hallway making it any natural light impossible and air flow challenging. Nevermind it meant that if you opened a window you were opening it to the goings on of others in the hotel. We were also told that they don't have any rooms with beds bigger than a double, which just isn't ideal for two adults. The hotel did accommodate our requests for several room changes and we finally settled on a room with a double and a twin in case my partner and I decided to sleep apart considering the lack of space.
