"Traumatic Experience and And Charged For It"

At 7am on the first morning the mirror at the bottom of our bed fell off the wall and smashed to pieces which was no surprise as it was fixed to the wall with stick on fixings. The absolute shock of this traumatized myself and my wife and also the other couple staying with us. To say we had a rude awakening would be an understatement. I took pictures of the damage immediately including the stick on fixings that had failed and never moved the mirror as I wanted the host Bemidormbookings to see it. I called them at 10am and told them the story and sent pictures, they said it was fine and to calm down. I left the mirror all weekend and it was still there on Monday when we departed (no one from Bemidormbookings came to see it). I again explained the situation when handing the keys over and the host apologized. Two days later I was shocked to see €50 taken from my credit card. When I contacted Benidormbookings, they replied that the money was taken for the broken mirror and the apartment was left in bad condition which is total nonsense as it was two couples in the their 40s who was staying. If bad condition means not making the beds then I am guilty as charged. The incident concerning the poor fixing of a dangerous item like a heavy glass mirror to a wall which has the potential to seriously injure someone gave us absolutley no faith in the other fixtures and fixings in the apartment such as electrical and plumbing and we were very weary using the facilities after the incident. I was so thankful we did not have our children with us on this occasion as this incident could have left a fatality!!
