Rocester Rest close to Alton Towers & JCB, Netflix

Small and clean - perfect for what we needed. The mattresses in the main bedroom were incredible! Now trying to find where they are from to get one ourselves.

Lovely base for a family, we booked to be close to Alton Towers. Red Lion pub was nice and we had take away from local Indian which was spot on.

Just missing a small table we ate our tea off our knees but this was a small inconvenience.

We liked everything about this property, was very clean and everything you could need in a holiday home.

Can't say there was anything we didn't like

Not much. House would benefit from some care and deep cleaning.

Although it looked clean at first glance, when looking into the details, the house was poorly clean. The bedding left on the ground level didn't seem to be recently washed as it wasn't even folded, what made us wonder if anything was washed at all. The bedding didn't smell clean if it makes sense. The ground floor smelled like pee, the sofas on the ground floor were very old and looked dirty. My eldest also complaint about the smell as he had to sleep there. On the kitchen there was a battery with the cutlery, the gas (co/co2) had no battery (useless) and was on the floor of the first floor. There is mould on the selling of the bathroom, the sink had toothpaste from previous guest and the rubber on the bath glass was disgusting. There were also several shampoos from previous guests left there. We didn't spend the two days we intended and left a day earlier. Unfortunately, the worst experience on booking.com so far. Things in this property deteriorated quickly, or we can't trust the guidance on this app at all.

Easy to find nice and clean j

We visited Alton Towers and it was really just a 10 min easy drive to get there. The city is nice and there is a lake near by so could spend some outdoor time as well. The bedroom and the bathroom is spacious enough.

It had a nice and well equipped kitchen, but was no chair and table to dine or have breakfast at all beside standing. The parking opportunity is very limited near the house.
