Gorgeous 2 bed, city apartment

Great location, nice clean and comfy beds and great to have use of a lounge and kitchen. Will stay here again.

1. The location. Very close to Holyrood Park and within walking distance of the centre if you are fit (c. 20-25 mins mainly uphill), 5-7 mins walk to bus stops. 2. Visible floor areas and surfaces, the kitchen area and bedding were fresh and clean. 3. The bed in the main bedroom was large and comfortable.

1. The windows in the apartment were very dirty and the communal stairs were unswept. 2. The lock on the door to the apartment felt very insecure. The yale lock worked but the key for the deadlock wouldn't turn so the door didn't fit well or feel secure. 3. One of the bedside lights in the main bedroom didn't work. 4. The cheval mirror in the main bedroom wouldn't stay upright and would only rest in a semi-horizontal position which wasn't very useful. 5. There were no wardrobes, just a small hanging rail in the main bedroom. It was adequate for our short stay but a shame given that there was enough space for a wardrobe. 6. The floorboards in the main bedroom were extremely loud and squeaky no matter how you crossed the floor and a lot of them were filled with a very unattractive and non-matching filling material. 7. There were 2 obvious dirty marks on the sofa in the main bedroom. 8. The smaller bedroom only contained the bunk beds, nothing for hanging clothes, no bedside light, etc, just the beds. The only light in the room, the overhead one, was very dim. 9. There was no rubbish bin in the bathroom. 10. The radiator in the hall had a small leak, which was discolouring the floorboards. PLEASE NOTE. To be fair, management company communication was very good and we received messages asking if everything was ok but we did not inform them of these issues at the time as most were too big to resolve during the brief time of our stay.

The apartment is suited at a great location, near to the Arthur´s seat and the Hollyrood Park, close to city center. The facilities of the apartment is sufficient for a short stay, the kitchen is small but ok.

The floor in the whole apartment creaks a lot, even though when you turn at the bed everybody hears that. The apartment is not super clean and some of the facilities bears signs of use.
