The host was a lovely lady, the place was beautifully clean and the breakfast was good with a choice of fried/ continental. There were 2 bathrooms and only 2 guests so we effectively had one each. Room was warm enough once the heat came on and the bed was very comfy, room dark and quiet.

The room was pricey for what it was, had a double bed in it but only space around one side. It didnt have a desk or dresser, which would have been good-I had to sit on the bed with my laptop. Room was aired with window open so room was fresh but I arrived around 5pm feeling cold and window was still open and heating didnt come on until 6pm! Once I put radiator on high the room did get warm and it was nice and cosy overnight. Bed was comfy. I'd suggest closing the window a bit earlier and getting the room warm for guests arrival. The area is a bit run down, lots of take-aways but no places to eat locally-we eventually found a pub. To be fair, Ed centre is only a bus ride away and bus stops are near the house. But if you want to stay local, there are few choices, some of the resaurants have closed. There are notices all around the property, telling you what not to do, it is a bit over the top and fees like being back at school. I'd cut back on those a little.

"Wonderful B&B, perfect location, quiet and cosy rooms and lovely travel-experienced owner :-D"

10.0

I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Badjao B&B - its location is just great, you can easily reach the city centre (by bus or even walk if you like), a supermarket is just across the street, and the rooms are very quiet and cosy :-) The owner Sue made a lovely breakfast and I absolutely appreciated her travel-experiences around Edingburgh and Scotland, as well as her advices when exploring and being curious about Edinburgh. I would love to be there again.

Everything was just fine :-)

"I would have chosen a different location - somewhere closer to town to be able to walk there."

8.0

The breakfast was great. Our host was very accomodating as we needed to leave rather early in the morning. It was very clean & neat and nothing wrong with our rooms at all. They were very nice & our host was extremely nice.

The location was a bit too far away from town. Needed to get ubers, as we didn't know what the public transport was going to be like - esp at night. I didn't realise it was shared bathrooms - would have preferred to have our own. Unfortunately the accom was upstairs so again we were lugging suitcases. Parking was atrocious - it was street parking & really hard to find a space - ended up parking two blocks way. On a very general note - every place we stayed throughout UK/EU had double beds and quite soft in accomodations. Way to small for 6'+ heights.

"Overall a great stay!"

8.0

Our host, Sue, was excellent. The breakfast was good quality and plentiful. Location is about 15-20 min by bus to the town center (Princes Street)

Shared bathroom. However, the bathroom was very clean and spotless. The stair was not easy for our large luggage.

Easy to park. Easy to get the bus into town. Great breakfast.

My first room was on Slateford road - so noisy! I didn't sleep a wink. Thankfully my host moved me to a different room for the second night which was much quieter. I didn't realise the rooms weren't ensuite - I suppose I should have checked before booking.

"Bed really comfortable room and bathrooms really nice and clean"

9.0

Location good for the o2 academy just a short walk, also plenty takeaways, shops and pubs within easy walking distance, can't say anything about the breakfast as we stayed in bed late, one of the best sleeps I've had in a B & B bed was really comfortable

Queen room was a little smaller than expected but I wouldn't let it put me off coming back

Visited To go to the tattoo. Lovely tidy clean place, with a lovely hostess.

It was difficult to find. Street configuration unusual
