the house is very beautifully decorated i felt like in my own hometown. the location is very strategic just next to taman panorama and lubang jepang.

the toilet bowl was leaking and the toilet was dirty. besides, the fact that the housekeeper house was just right behind the homestay and they have access to the house through the back door just seemed not right to me. when we are in the house, i did lock the door to the living room though. however, when we are not home and tried to lock the front door, the key cannot be retrived from the lock. i dont know if that is intentional. two keys of the two rooms inside also cannot be retrived from the lock. in terms of security, i just dont feel very safe.

Beautiful, well maintained, wooden house with 3 bedrooms. Very clean and nicely furnished with wooden furniture, cosy carpet in the living room, smart tv, water dispenser. Old and new family photos give some insight in it's history. Conveniently located in walking distance from the clock tower (city centre), Japanese bunkers and nice panorama are just next door. Works great as a base for day trips (we did Sianok Valley + Lawang, palace in Payakumbuh + nearby villages, Harau valley). All in all we had an amazing time and I definitely recommend staying in Rumah Nizar!

The house is very clean. Traditional. Nice. It is difficult to describe in words how worthy it is. It is just next to Lubang Japang and Ngarai Sianok. You can enter Lubang Japang starting 7 am. Very convinient for us. There is a little shop beside it.
