ABT L'AURA

Unfortunately the location is in a very shabby area with lots of trash and very busy shady street market in front of the building every day. It felt a bit unsafe. Also you cannot park your car. Also the complete bathroom is flooded every time you shower.

Location was good for seeing Palermo. Air condition and bathroom were both new. Check in and check out processes were very easy and well explained. Host easy to reach and helpful. Snacks on arrival. Soundproofing was really good, particularly considering the property is situated in a busy piazza.

The kitchen isn’t super well stocked with equipment. Sheets are quite thin. Washing machine was unfortunately out of order, and a microwave would be a great addition.

Absolutly the worst host I have ever encounter. On the first day when I arrived, I couldn't open the door because the box for keys is broken and had to stand in front of the door with a 15kg backpack for 40mins and no one was doing anything. During the second day, They entered my room without permission, and left some nails and dirt on my bed, right next to my pillow. I have traveled a lot and have never met a host who would do such disrespectful thing and act like nothing happened. Also, after I told him that my bed is dirty after his carpenter work, he just decided to ignore me, so I had to change the sheets myself because of his actions. Although I am angry about their attitude, they do have a well furnished place at a great location. It can be noisy at night but acceptable. Basically, this place is not qualified for hosting people, the irresponsible host destroies everything. I personally would not choose to stay at this kind of place even if it looks like a palace. First bad review in recent 5 years.

Unlike the region and the city, the room was extremelt clean. They do a great job about that. Breakfast opportunities are also very good. You can have several options. Tea&coffee 7/24 available. And Laura is very helpful person, she helped us a lot also about airport tranfers as it was raining and we had to leave too early. I can recommend without hesitation.

The streets of this area was super dirty. I did not expect that. Especially if you arrive at night, you might feel insecure. Although it is close to almost all "must see" places of Palermo, the region itself does not let you feel good.

The place is near the historic center and some 7 minutes from the central train station. That's good. Looking out of the window you the a beautiful baroque church. My room was clean, and 'abastanza' comfortable, and good bathroom. These are the Pro's but there are alo Con's

There is a famous Pizzeria just under the window of my room. At night there is a great buzz with horrible "Ballerman" music, and very loud, screaming DJ. After 11 pm You can find some sleep until 6 am. In the morning at 6 am a huge flee market opens up. So no more sleep. You have to get up early.

The location is 5 min from the one of the sightseeing-the garden and the gates.

In front of the building is a pizzeria and it was very loud till 2-3 am. But if you like parties it should be ok for you. At least we felt safe. Because the area looks dirty and suspicious. But because of the pizzeria and their guests we could sleep safely.

The host was very very kind regarding the check-in arrangements. The person who did the reception as well; she was very nice and helpful providing information in English. New furniture and equipment, without damages, scratches, marks, both in the room and in the whole apartment. Snacks for breakfast were left on the table in the common area and there is also a functional kitchen. Is a 3 bedroom flat.

For those who are not used to the old town centers of Catania/ Palermo or the favelas:)), might consider either to choose a location in an area with cleaner street and so to compromises the distance, or to accept the specifics of the zone in favor of a very central location. Considering this, then the location is a few minutes walking distance from old center. The bed linen was not changed after the previous guest (I had to improvise something as bedding because was very late in the night when i realised) and someone forgot to sweep the floor:)) (there was hair everywhere)

Very clean place with everything new inside the flat. Well organised. Inside a heritage building. The flat has been renovated and looks awesome.

There was lot of garbage disposal on the street in front of the house.
