Sea La Vie

As we arrived, Maria had already some snacks prepared for us so that we can have a good start in the vacation and it was not necessary to go straight to the supermarket. The apartment was super clean and Maria was always available for us with different tips and recommendations and really friendly. We felt as in Home. We can highly recommend this place.

The conditions in the house are wonderful. The house is comfortable, modern and perfectiy located. The hosts are wonderful people. We will be happy to return again.

Very nice and beautiful house. We rented both apartments and it was a beautiful holiday. Maria is an awesome host, who provided us with everything we could have wished for. Thank you so much! The house is located very close to the beach and has a beautiful garden. There are some beach toys, a sun umbrella, games like chess and card games and much more. We joked, that whatever you think of you will find eventually if you search through all the cupboards. There are also many restaurants and bars nearby, shopping, supermarket, doctors office right next door, everything one could wish for. From that location we visited places like Patsos and Myli gorge, Rethymno and Chania, Lake Kournas, Preveli and and Episkopi beach. The beds were very comfortable.

There was nothing to dislike.

During my stay there was no water unfortunately, the whole area did not have water, so I did not try the bath. The host was available during my whole stay. The apartment was basic, but fine. I only did not like the bed, so I slept on the couch, that was nice. Washing machine in your own room, fridge etc. I could not get the heat up, but it was a bit cold outside, I think the airconditioning works fine.

Close to the beach

The bathroom sink was dirty and the toilet bowl was filthy dark brown. The bed sheets felt like they had not been changed - they were covered in small bits of something - I hope that at worst it was only sand and not bits of skin or dirt. Cooker was dusty. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned. Only 2 sets of cutlery, 1 saucepan and 1 badly scratched frying pan. No basics - salt, pepper, tea, kitchen bin, tea towel, etc. The fridge made a loud noise. Np shower head holder above head height making it very hard to have a comfortable shower while holding the shower head in one hand and trying to wash with the other. The metal in the bathroom was mostly rusty, oxidised, and dark. The bottom of the bath was brown and the shower curtain was dirty.

Staff was fantastic, very helpful. Location great! Only 100-150m from the sea. My appartement was on the ground floor so because of the car park I couldn't see the beach but I still could see at least the remote part of the sea. I could park right in front of the apartment. Had working Air-conditioning and TV.

Generally it was clean, but som metal (chrome) pieces in the bathroom were oxidated, looking dirty and obsolete. Worse was though the sewer smell in the bathroom and partially blocked bath.
