Apple Cottage: 19th Century Charm in Calder Valley

The cottage was spotlessly clean & well equipped. Bed very comfy. Nice area to sit outdoors, this was up some stairs in back garden but not a problem for us. It was a 10 minute drive into Hebden Bridge. We did park the car near to Mytholmroyd Cricket Club & joined the canal tow path to Hebden Bridge.

Apple Cottage was absolutely outstanding. So clean, cosy, all amenities worked properly and the whole feel of this charming cottage made our stay very special. The garden area at the back of the property is beautiful and private and the sound of the birds singing just topped off the whole experience. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone.

Beautiful cottage - very well presented and extremely comfortable. We particularly liked the terraced garden - really lovely to have this to sit out in and all really well maintained. We had a great stay - and loved it all!

Ideally situated for our requirements, for visiting family and amenities easily accessible for eating out, local history and culture. The property was very comfortable and clean, in a lovely area with fabulous hosts.

The cottage was bright, cheerful, and comfortable without losing its historic charm. It was very nicely decorated and well appointed with modern appliances making it a pleasure to stay in. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was spacious and powerful. The garden at the rear was nicely landscaped with terracing to make the most of the steep area and had a private hedged seating area at the top; perfect for eating al fresco. The cottage is a perfect base to explore the beautiful surroundings both locally in the village and nearby places such as Hebden Bridge and Hardcastle Crags. There is a dedicated parking space opposite the cottage which takes away any worry about going out for the day and not finding a space when you get back. We are glad to have discovered this gem and will definitely be back.

I cannot recommend you stay here enough. We booked this property last minute and everything was still such a smooth process. Rachel provided all the details from the start, the cottage itself is so homely and beautifully decorated. It's definitely one of the best places i have stayed at, and 100% better than any hotel room.

Absolutely spotlessly clean!! The furnishing is incredible and it’s equipped massively for cooking ❤️ The shower is immense loved it ❤️ Lots of games to play TV for quieter nights ❤️ It’s a lovely location very quiet and tranquil and lots to do nearby ❤️ Stunning little sun trap garden if you want to relax ❤️
