"Large apartment close to city centre but quiet - enjoyed our stay"

This large, nicely decorated apartment is in a convenient location for the city centre so perfect for seeing the city sites, restaurants etc. Lots of light & windows/doors you can open, but shutters for sleeping. (Skylight in lounge could disturb someone on sofa bed.) It was very clean & toilet paper, oil, water & juice provided. A private washing machine is provided. Two air conditioning units - one in bedroom & other in lounge/kitchen. Has a small balcony with 2 tables & 4 chairs. New internet provider which worked well for our simple requirements. When we had trouble with washing machine the cheerful owner answered straight away & came ASAP to fix it.

The neighbourhood looks a bit sketchy as expected for inner city but is safe & quiet. Useful things were virtually empty - coffee, sugar, handwash.. Electric jug has to go on floor to plug it in. Not fault of this accommodation but just so you know - I always do my accommodation search as distance from the railway station. In Catania booking.com only came up with listings from Acquicella station. Centrale Station didn’t list anything so I assumed it must be the same station. Unfortunately not - Acquicella may be 650m but Centrale is 2.6km away! A long walk with bags in a heat wave!

The location is very convenient and the apartment is very clean and comfortable. Everything was available in the apartment. Moreover, checking in and out were very smooth. We really enjoyed our stay!

"Lovely and helpful host"

The Host was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. He had prepared some drinks and some snacks for us on arrival for which we were very greatful for. Any small problems we had, such as the Aircon leaking, were fixed immediately. The location was possibly a bit far but then again it's a big city so that's dependant on the person. If you don't mind walking 15mins to the city centre and 20mins to the beach then it was perfect. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

The location was bit far but only if you don't rent a moped or car.
