8 BIRTH LODGE ON CAYTON BAY HOLIDAY PARK

It is very clean, cozy and quiet. Spacious. Big open kitchen and dining/ living room space. Very warm.

Only one toilet roll is provided for 7 people staying. Even though we just stayed for one night, but it would be nicer to have at least another roll for spare use. One of us needed to sleep in a sofa bed in the living room, but there is no extra pillow nor blanket provided. My friend had to use his own jacket to cover for sleep.

Love the location of this holiday home. We love Cayton Bay Beach!. We came and stayed in this exact holiday home a couple of years ago, which is why we re booked it again as we were really impressed with it the first time. We like the open plan living area as we are a large family of 7 and it works really well for us. The decking area outside is great for the kids and the dog. The resort itself is very clean, and it offers nice facilities although these are quite pricy but nice as a treat.

Please don't take this as a complaint. It is just constructive feedback, so no other guest has an issue. The caravan did seam a little tired on this occasion. It wasn't cleaned to the standard we had previously seen (we asked for an early check-in, so maybe this was why) The sofa bed is unusable and is too uncomfortable to sleep on. This needs replacing or maybe listing as a 6, not an 8 occupancy. Limescale in the kettle. The steps leading up to the caravan on the decking need to be looked at as some of the facsias have broken off and are sharp. We had an issue with the family shower. Contacted the owner, and she was very responsive, but unfortunately, this would be fixed once we left, which I understand with it being a weekend, but that then meant all 7 of them share the ensuite shower. We had a slight problem with one of the single beds, but again, the owner was very responsive, and we managed to sort it. We did enjoy our stay, and the owner has been responsive, and I understand that if a previous guest hadn't reported the issues, then the owner isn't necessarily going to know but when your paying £250 a night you expect a certain standard. I feel like this is obviously a very busy holiday home and is popular with customers, but it needs some tlc and things checking over from time to time and if issues are raised on reviews they should be investigated.

The Lodge is beautiful, spacious, and absolutely gorgeous. The location in the park is ok as well, quite a distance from entertainment but nothing too strenuous. The terrace is big and lovely.

The sofa bed is an absolute NO! It is really badly built and uncomfortable, but you only have to worry about it if your party is more than 6 people. The site is nothing to write home about. The walk to the beach is fair. If you book privately, you don't get the entertainment passes which are for pool and other things. You can buy those for £18.99 per person, we only stayed one night so didn't bother. Staff on site are half bothered, although we also met some nice people.
