Elegant 4 Bed Room at Cleveland Clinic Area

Had a tough time entering the property. The landlord had provided only one entry code whereas the property required two. After a long travel we were so tired but ended up waiting at the door struggling to enter. We called the landlord but it was going to voicemail. Finally after more than 30 minutes or so, we could get the code and enter the house. The property access is through a rickety set of 5 or 6 steps and it is so steep and unstable that we were worried to get the luggage up to the main door. We had aged parents with us and they really struggled to climb the steps. The whole set up shook and very run down. The actual nightmare was at night. There was some animal which had crept into the attic and the whole night it was scratching and gnawing at whatever it was in the attic just above one of the bedrooms. We hardly could get a wink and the whole night it was moving around making noises and scratching the floor. To top it off, it had already made a hole in the ceiling and it was just making it bigger. We were up the whole night with the noise and in the morning contacted the landlord. He said he will send some Pest control folks over to check the situation and we hoped it won’t repeat again. We hardly stayed during the day and left sometime after lunch and when we came back at night we did not see anything fixed. Hoping we can atleast find peace that night we retired for the day. But exactly around midnight the same animal started scratching the floor board. This time it was much louder and there were two holes now. We called the landlord but again it went to voicemail. Very worried that the animal may jump out of the hole and enter the bedroom, we immediately vacated that room and closed it. One of us shared the bed in the other room and one of us spent the night sleeping on the sofa. Definitely not what we expected and paid for. Worst experience and regret the renting. The whole family had a worst experience with all of us left with no sleep

Spacious, with roomy bedrooms and lovely areas on the main floor for socializing, wonderfully situated to access cultural attractions

Had been renovated or touched up, beds were comfortable

Seemed to be a little sketchy of an area, minimal parking (in my opinion), could not get the stove to work to reheat some food from night prior, front steps seemed to be shifted at a down angle, did hear sirens from ambulances and such ( not to big of a deal) but probably worse part was hearing gun shots close to area. Bath tub drained slowly but usable. Wish listing had pictures of outside in listing. Was unsure of area and correct house as we pulled up to it. Backyard isn't much to look at (or kind of lack there of) for space and or animals. We stayed safe, roof over our heads for a weekend, just be mindful of your surroundings.
