Cozy Beach House - 5 minutes from Vanderbilt Beach

Very well maintained property with a great location. Close to everything. It exceeded our expectations. The whole house (including the pool and pool area) was very clean and nicely decorated. We would love to return to this property in the future, if the owner was also satisfied with our stay. Thank you.

The house is as cozy as advertised. We had a lovely family weekend. The host was helpful and proactive. An all around nice experience, we'll definitely comeback.

Alex was quick to respond to all messages we sent. He kept in contact in the days before Hurricane Milton and offered us the option of leaving early with a refund for days not used. We were also given the option of moving to another property but decided to stay where we were. A local man, Kirk, was sent around to ensure the property was safe before the arrival of the hurricane and as well as securing furniture, he removed lots of beach paraphernalia left by previous guests which made the lanai area much more inviting. (This perhaps should have been done before our arrival)Kirk was very reassuring and gave us sound advice. There was a good supply of candles in the house- which we were very grateful for when the power went off! A good selection of board games as well as smart TVs kept us entertained. The kitchen was superb and well stocked with everything needed. The bathrooms had plentiful supplies of good-quality toiletries. The pool was clean and inviting and promptly cleaned after the filters had gone off during the loss of power.

On arrival. after a long flight followed by the drive across Alligator Alley we were surprised to find no outside lights left on making it very difficult to see the door pad. Having been given the code we incorrectly assumed this to be for the lock box on the wall- it was not! After several attempts, we gave up and drove to a nearby hotel. After messaging Alex in the morning we were able to access the property and everything was fine! There was considerable disruption on the road due to ongoing work to replace water mains and to resurface driveways. This had been delayed due to the previous hurricane but looked as if it would be completed within a week or so. Although there were some wooden loungers on the lanai some comfortable recliners as shown in the photographs online would have been welcome.
