Location, amazing, pleasant little cottage.

There was no bannister to the stairs, one bedroom did smell of stale tobacco with nicotine stains on the windows… Could do with a deep clean as some areas were grubby.Lovely little cottage but just needs some TLC.

The bathroom is downstairs and the plug for the bath had been removed so I could not have a bath. Lighting in kitchen was too bright and the tv is too high and in an awkward place to watch with a very uncomfortable sofa, which had to be moved.

The property has had a lick of vibrant paint and new furniture

It’s rare for me to ever write a negative review but to others looking at booking here before you do BE VERY CAREFUL and aware when booking. I saw this property has just come on to booking and it looked nice a fresh. However under the house rules I did not see about the security deposit. Had this information been clearer I would have NOT BOOKED. The property is managed by two separate companies and one contacts you to complete your booking registration which is extremely lengthy and requires you to take a selfie and also upload passport or driving license. The main issue is the security deposit - you either pay another £25 or a £250 refundable deposit as long as the property is left as it was . I paid the £250 but they keep this for two weeks after your stay and as they kept asking me to fill out the info before check in it meant they keep this money for well over thee weeks. It’s totally excessive and I have never had this before. As it comes via external links to another company I also ended up having to call to check it was all legitimate as it’s done outside of booking.com. Oh and as an admin fee there is £5 for them to keep your £250 for the few weeks!!! Totally over the top for this kind of booking/property

The stylish design and how we felt like we were in a home rather than an air Bnb

Only only minor for me and it’s definitely not a dislike, is the lack of mirrors! Trying to get ready with only mirror in the bathroom was a little Difficult. Mirrors in the bedrooms would be awesome
