AUBeautifully situated over the water at Opua, the veranda views are unsurpassed. Our hosts were fantastic and very accommodating. They have considered every need in setting up the unit. The sounds of water lapping under foot lull you to sleep.
If you wanted eternal peace and serenity, this is probably not the place to stay. Opua is a working port and the unit is directly beside the car ferry. We loved this aspect (but others may not) - it provided endless entertainment watching the comings and goings but the ferry makes noise (7am-10pm). It all depends on your tastesā¦.

NZEverything was great. My husband had an accident over 3 years ago which left him with a brain injury. Staying here was a great rehabilitation for him for all of us. A big thank you to Chris and John.

NZLocation was awesome. Ferry does work all day next door but we liked it as there was always something going on. Can fish straight off the deck and catch! Clean and tidy. Will be back but will probably stay at the apartment a bit more and enjoy the bay.
Beds were a bit firm for us.

The property was good but would have preferred it but further distance from the ferry service as it seemed to running every few minutes and noisy also did not feel very private as when you sit on deck people kept looking.

Really close to the ferry, ok during the day just took a bit of getting used to with it running until 10pm, I didnāt realise it was quite so close.
GBThis apartment is as good as the pictures make it look. Excellent setting, space and facilities. The open plan kitchen feels amazing to be in and rhe front balcony over the water is gorgeous.
The property is directly adjacent to where the vehicle ferry pulls in. This was not an issue for us, but might be for anyone looking for something maybe romantic or very peaceful. It is a short drive from Paihia.
AULovely view over the water. Felt a little like being on a boat- large front deck and low ceilings. Ample space.
Bathroom floor flooded a little with shower on full. Avoidable with lower shower pressure Ferry activity next to apartment created a little noise but not too bad Foot noise from apartment above could be heard below.
AUThe location was amazing and we loved sitting out on the deck eating and relaxing. The property had everything we needed and was beautiful and comfortable. The little extras and kitchen supplies went above and beyond. We came from Australia for a few days, didnāt want to leave and are already planning another stay and longer visit to the beautiful Bay of Islands again.

AUGreat location, even the ferry next door wasn't a bother. Bedrooms nice and big, bathroom was a great size, with heated floor. The kitchen, dining and lounge were all a good size with great views over the water. Even fishing rods, although we didn't use them. I would definatly stay here again. Highly recommended
