This apartment looked nice in the photos that were presented in Booking.com and it had fairly high reviews so I booked it for our anniversary trip to Detroit to see the Henry Ford Museum. What a mistake! Once we arrived I could not believe the dilapidated condition of the building the apartment was located in. There were abandoned cars in the parking lot (that was accessed via a flimsy motorized gate that looked like it would fail at any second), half of the building had boarded up windows and the sidewalk leading up to the entrance was littered with broken liquor bottles and trash. Once inside, the odor of marijuana permeated the dirty hallways. The apartment also smelled of marijuana, the bedding did not appear (or smell) fresh and there was a half-empty soda in the refrigerator. My wife and I quickly left and I contacted the host and informed her that there was no way we were staying there and asked if she could refund our money. Long story short, her answer was no. There is no way I would recommend this place to anyone. How it ever got such a high rating on Booking is highly suspect. I have used Booking.com for more years than I can count and this dump was by far the worst reservation I have made by a country mile. You have been forewarned!

Location was great, loved how the apartment was decorated, owner was responsive when we reached out.

It was warm, the AC didn't get as cold as we would have liked, but the ceiling fan helped.

Quiet and convenient with a weed shop on the corner and a sliders sandwich bar across the street. Lock box has keys to the building and a fob for opening the parking gate. The AC unit needs to be replaced not very cool but the fan over the bed helps. No support bar in the shower so be careful getting in and out if you are unsteady like me. We didnt cook but the kitchen seems adequate. All in all would rent again.

It was very well decorated. I liked the concrete floor and how cozy the room felt. The room was spacious and give the feel of a loft or Ny apartment lol The location was only 20-25 mins from the airport and 10 mins from the event I attended. Perfect location and the ppl in the building were very friendly!

NOT the Host fault In any way: but I did notice that walls were thin meaning I could clearly hear the ppl upstairs and their whole conversations, steps and tv (they may have just had it really loud lol), just be mindful of this. Otherwise no complaints concerning host or their accommodation!
