A Gem in the Emerald City: For Business and Travel

The property was clean and spacious. Location was good. We just had to learn how to maneuver the steep hills. Once we learned bus routes we were good. Loved Seattle as a first time visitor I’d highly recommend this area.

Shower pressure was good. Washing machine and dryer were excellent Cold water in the fridge - thank you View was great from patio. Buses were very local. Appreciated the coffee Plentiful nice towels

Reading the reviews now someone else on Booking.Com has mentioned this before - that the posting is very misleading. We had a message 48 hours before telling us the key code - that was the first we knew that it wasn't the whole property. Ceilings are VERY low - husband and son and 6'5 - couldn't stand straight. One bedroom doesn't have a window. No mention of this. Leak in bathroom somewhere - again previously mentioned but obviously not dealt with. Piece of kitchen ceiling missing covered with some sort of tile fastened on with thumb tacks - caught every time we opened cupboard door. No oven - says full kitchen it isn't - it's two hotplates and no surface to cook. The whole point of a property like this is being able to stick a pizza in the oven. Kitchen floor slants at a curious angle. Fridge very noisy Presume owner - or upstairs tenant very noisy early in the morning. Chairs scraping on floor, footsteps - 6am ish. Entering the property through a side gate that doesn't click back - hard with cases, sloping and then steps - none of this is an issue with full mobility but should be mentioned in booking. . Beds in room with window is incredibly high and very soft. Difficult to get into - had to climb. No instructions anywhere for anything - lightswitches tricky to fine. 4 coat hangers and no shelves/drawers in the main bedroom

It’s misleading description of the property. The property show a picture of an entire home , pictures of different rooms as if you’re staying in some one’s home (like an Air BNB). It also states the “entire place is yours “. However you’re staying in someone’s basement, which was not explained . I drove 3000+miles from St.louis Missouri to Settle Washington just to be bamboozled and mislead. I felt unsafe every night due to being in someone’s basement . I felt stuck cause I traveled so far and there was no way to get a full refund. The host acknowledged that he used good word play to get people to book at the location. I think Booking.com should take a further look into this.

Small leak in the bathroom, washing machine didn’t work

The apartment was very comfortable and impeccably clean. The hosts were warm and welcoming, ensuring everything was thoughtfully prepared for a truly home-like experience. It had all the appliances you might need, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The neighborhood was peaceful and pleasant. Downtown Seattle is just 15 min drive.
