"Fantastic stay!"

Quiet village. Easy access to walks from the door. Lovely welcome hamper. Comfortable bed, cosy lounge with wood burner. Kitchen with all utensils we needed. Couldn’t fault the property.

Nothing. It was lovely.

"Very homely and would return."

10.0

Nice and clean and lots of useful equipment. Liked that there was an airfyer, very handy for breakfast. Welcome basket was lovely

Was quite cold when we first arrived, especially in the bed rooms. Log burner helped to get downstairs warm quickly - we did have snow when there though!

"Beautiful cosy cottage, perfect for a pet friendly family stay."

10.0

Cosy cottage, it was snowing and freezing outside and we were snug in front of the log burner enjoying the underfloor heating. Really dog friendly. Had everything we needed and some lovely extra touches. Great location. Didn’t want to leave. Communication from owners was fantastic.

Nothing, it was perfect.

"Cosy, comfortable stay in a great location."

10.0

A gorgeous, cosy cottage in a picturesque Peak District village. The rooms are well laid out to make the use of the space. There is a very well equipped kitchen and fabulous modern bathroom. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and is appreciated so much at the end of a long journey. We don't have a dog currently, but can see that this would be great for dogs. With that said, there was not a hint that a dog had ever been in there. So if you are a dog-less traveller this will suit you too.

There isn't space on the drive for a large car but we managed to park on the street right outside.

"Charming, cosy and idyllic for a Peak District stay."

10.0

Lovely location if you’re looking for a small quintessential village in the heart of the Peak District. This charming property had everything we needed, I could have stayed for a week! The kitchen came fully equipped, so you could come with a shop, cook your own food etc. it’s a great blend of old meets new. Plenty of tech inside to keep you comfortable, cosy and clued up. We didn’t use the log burner fire but would have loved too, we’ll have to come back in the colder months! The communication from Alex was great, from the moment we booked to the moment we checked out. The welcome baskets were a lovely touch too. There is a book with recommended local walks, which we did 2 of, both lovely. The pub down the road is nice too and does great home Cooked food. This cottage is great if you’re looking to be near Bakewell, Buxton, Tissington Trail, Monsal, Mam Tor, Carsington etc!

Not so much that I didn’t like it, but please pay attention to Alex’s note about the driveway. It genuinely is only suitable for a small/medium vehicle but there’s plenty of street parking nearby. We parked on the drive and street, and had no issue with either BUT large SUVs might be a tight squeeze. Get your stuff out the car first before pulling up.

Beautiful house, the owners have thought of everything! Loved the welcome pack for us and the dogs!

Some jam or butter would have helped as plain bread and crossants don't hit the mark! Not really a complaint, just a nice to have!

"Great little Peak District getaway"

10.0

great location to get to Buxton and Bakewell. nice little village with good pub (Queens Arms) we ate there on the 2nd night, food was very good. As for our stay at muddy paws cottage, you couldn't really ask for anymore, it was comfortable and i did appreciate the heating and smart lights. It was clean and the welcome pack was a great touch.
