Uni Island - City Heart Suites

In a perfect position to explore the city, very close to the National Archaeological Museum, in a pedestrian area rich with restaurants and cafés, lively and full of life (locals, not tourists!). Perfect place to stay! The apartment was spotless, very comfortable, and fully equipped. The host, Stratos, is very kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

Very central, really good to walk around the city centre and enjoy the city life. Very clean and comfy!

Only drawbacks are the absence of lift and parking place. However, there are plenty of car parks nearby.

The apartment was well-equipped and close to the main shopping street,restaurants and at a reasonable walking distance to the central bus station,supermarket and other main attractions.The apartment was well insulated,so it was quite calm inside. Stratos greeted us in a friendly manner.This was the first example of the Cretan hospitality.Stratos was always there to help if needed. We really recommend this accommodation.

My friend and I visited Heraklion in early November- my childhood hometown- and we stayed here for 4 nights. We had a hard time finding the entrance when we arrived but we called the owner and he answered right away & gave us directions (see one of my photos- it’s the small door next to “κουλουράδες»). The apartment was perfectly clean and spacious, the bedrooms very comfortable with a lot of closet space to get organized, and with a large kitchen/living area. We didn’t actually cook anything but there were dishes and pots/pans as well as utensils if you want to do so. I am a light sleeper, sensitive to noise and light, but the apartment was very quiet and the bedrooms had shutters and blinds that made it perfectly dark- so much that after the first night I decided not to close everything up for fear of sleeping in too late! Everything was perfect. We thought there was a problem with the water-heater as it didn’t last enough for 2 back-to-back showers, but when we called the owner he explained how to get hot water (if I remember correctly there is a solar panel as well as electric back-up so we could turn a switch on 20 minutes prior to showering and that took care of this). There is also a washer/dryer that we used the last day we were there that worked perfectly. I would definitely stay there again!

Nothing. It was all perfect:) But, it would have been nice to have more than one key for when my friend and I went out separately.

The appartement was perfect in all the ways : newly refurbished, well designed, well equipped, perfectly located in the heart of Heraklion

Lovely flat in a perfect location. The best part was the owner, Mr. Stratos, who was incredibly caring and helpful throughout our stay, including during check-in and even late in the evening when we needed assistance.

Location! It is right in the city centre. Close to all eating and shopping. We even had a great bakery right downstairs. Facilities and cleanliness! It is the best place we had in Crete. Very modern interiors, clean and comfortable. Host! The owner Stratos is very easy to communicate. He welcomed us personally and spoiled with gifts.

It was not a problem for us, but the staircase is a bit narrow and there is no lift. As it is right in the centre, if you came by car, you will need to park your car about 5 min away in a carpark area for 5 euros daily.
