"Superb"

9.0

Big house, very functional. Clean. Close to the city.

Parking is not free between 12-3pm and nearby carpark will not let us leave car all day. Would have been nice to have found some games/books/DVD/normal TV.

House is big and clean. The floor makes incredible bad noise which is not good when you have a kid sleeping.

Free public parking is possible at a near by location it says in the description. False advertisment. It is free for 2 hours. Then we had to find parking at 13 min of walking and it cost us £13/day. We were 2 couples with 2 cars for 2 night(££££ very expensive in the end) Honestly I will try and report it to booking for false advertisment.

"A home from home offering a hug at the end of a busy day."

10.0

On arrival we were impressed with the size and layout of the property. It was exceptionally clean and tidy and welcoming. It was easy to find and get into. The communication was clear and simple to follow. Allowed us to have our own space as a family instead of being cramped in small hotel rooms. Reasonably priced and we will certainly look to book again.

There was nothing major that we noticed at all.

The house was really nice and well presented on first impressions

Infestation of ants reported to Teresa in the ensuite room at first not noticeable but then in all our stuff in the morning and in bed during the night.. At least 40 blue bottles in kitchen area got rid of them on arrival and as many back again this morning so kitchen not able to be used.

It was lovely and spacious good location .

Squeaky squeaky floors all over the house really did our head in , only one toilet roll per bathroom and no hand towels in bathroom or en suite .and no towel for downstairs loo , and hadn’t read that no tv either which was a first for staying away .

"Super refurb, convenient location. Let down by the strange odour."

7.0

The house was refurbished to an exceptionally high standard. The beds were very comfortable and the house was clean. The location was near the city centre (5 minute drive) and was a great base for us. Due to the age and design of the house, there is a great feeling of space with its high celings and large rooms.

The issue we had (which prevents me from giving a higher rating) was that there was an awful smell in the kitchen. I informed the host on arrival via text and she offered to come round with air freshener. I declined, saying that we would open doors and windows and see what happened. The smell did dissipate when the room was ventilated but returned when they were closed overnight. We had to keep the doors shut to avoid it. I then sent another message in which the host said that there had been a problem with the public sewer. This was obviously pre-existing to our visit and it was disappointing that this was not mentioned prior to checking in. It would have been nice to have had some more tea towels (there was only one) and also randomly, the green sink scrubber was well used and dirty on arrival which was not in keeping with the rest of the house, which was very clean. With younger children, a kitchen table would be useful so that they are not out of sight whilst preparing food. The chairs in the dining room were sliding on the floor and my daughter fell and banged her head. The only other point to mention is that although the house is finished to a very high standard, the wooden laminate floors are VERY noisy. A bit of a nightmare when trying to check on sleeping children.

"Very pleasant stay for our extended family and us. Great house in an accessible location."

10.0

The property was set in an ideal location for visiting the town and getting to and from the train station. Being able to watch the train go by out of the window was nice. The house was spacious and had more than enough room for the 6 of us (4 adults and 2 children) Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped.

If you sleep in the front bedroom, the trains going past can be a bit noisy but you do get used to it.
