La Pomelia B&b Sofia

Very friendly hosts who welcomed us! We liked the family vibe at the farm and the breakfast with other guests.

The location is great to explore other sights in the area, but there isn't much one can do without a car. The property however is well kept and feels idyllic.

The shower was to small and the mattress. Outside was not comfortable enough to stay during the hot middays.

Breakfast was amazing. The hosts were welcoming and the location was perfect for a vacation with a car. Rooms were clean and everything worked perfectly.

Services were harder to reach by walking.

Spatious rooms, great hospitality. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful location.

Only complaint is the walls are very thin so you hear noises - so bring ear plugs !

I travel a lot through Europe and spend the nights in the most diverse locations. This trip to Sicily had another special surprise in store for me. When I arrived at La Pomelia B&B in Taormina after crossing a range of small villages, I suddenly found myself in a very beautifully secluded location with an above-ground swimming pool including a beautiful view of the Etna volcano. Sitting on the cozy terrace and feeling the radiant sun and the warm wind, this location was transformed into something perfect on this day. The friendly welcome by the hostess was pleasant and very helpful despite the fact that I arrived during lunch time, so a little early, but no problem! If desired, you can enjoy the hostess's cooking skills if this is appreciated. Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to do that now, but I would like to save it for the next occasion. The room/apartment was spacious with a good bathroom, clean and sufficient towels, well-functioning air conditioning and a refrigerator with some bottles of water on the house, very thoughtful! The bed was fine and the silence in and around the complex was soothing. A wonderful destination for business travelers like me. However, this location also serves as a great base for couples or small families to discover Sicily. A nice experience richer for me, Grazie mille Sofia! Ronald van der Meijden (Less than 24 hours after my departure, Volcano Etna felt it necessary to make itself heard again and the peace was again spectacularly disturbed).

I had no complaints during my visit, so I cannot report them.

Good location for visiting Sicily by car, 1 h from Etna and 10 min to beach in Giardini Naxos, with private parking. The property is located in a quiet area and has a nice garden with view to the Etna where meals are served. Breakfast was excellent, with homecooked sweets and local products (the strawberry pie was so good!). We also had dinner at the B&B once and was also very good, with traditional Sicilian dishes. The room was very confortable and clean. Staying at the B&B was one of the highlights of our trip!

I would say a tray for toiletries in the shower would be helpful.
