Mateus House - Porto da Cruz Center

Great location in Porto Da Cruz, very short walk to the sea and all amenities around. Nice little village, easy access to other areas of Madeira. Came with surfboards and wetsuits to use, e scooters, some food and drinks to start and nice welcome from Rodrigo

It was my first trip to Madeira Island and the stay at Mateus House was a huge enabler for me to have one of the best times of my life. The place is a few steps away from the beach and the best restaurants in the region. Though the whole house is beautifully done, the highlight is the amazing terrace where my friends and I spent most of our time. Rodrigo our host is extremely friendly and helpful. Despite the late hour of our arrival, he was personally there to greet us. Throughout the trip, Rodrigo was constantly in touch, guiding us and suggesting options to use our time best. I thank Rodrigo for his warmth and care. I am looking forward to coming back again and experiencing his hospitality.

It's a wonderful place and the house itself. We love the upper terrace where you can relax after a day of hiking. There are several restaurants nearby in the town, where we had a delicious meal. We stayed for 4 nights and it was very comfortable house (3 adults). Close to the airport (15 minutes by car). We always found a place to park in the town, there is no charge. The host Rodrigo is very helpful and provided a lot of useful information. We travel a lot, so I can compare it with many things and I can confidently say that this place is definitely worth 10 or even more :). Thank you Rodrigo once again, when we come back to Madeira, it will definitely be at your place :)

Loved the rooftop and the location! Great amenities and we appreciated the special touches (the window screens and delicious treats). Great communication. Plenty of space and awesome to have a small powder room on main floor.

Nothing about the property itself - it was great! Parking was a little tricky during the day due to day trippers in town and there were dogs barking nearby at night. Just things to be aware of if sensitive. We would definitely stay again.

THE LOCATION IS PERFECT, 1 MIN WALK FROM THE BEACH AND 30 SECONDS FROM AN AMAZING RESTAURANT. The upper deck is just fabulous! :D

Such a spacious place, we had lovely breakfasts on the huge terrace, it is perfectly situated in Porto da Cruz and the perfect location to discover the north of the island 💝 Ricardo was a great host and we will for sure recommend this place. The beds were super comfortable and the accommodation made us feel at home. Great restaurants, a super market and a playground a very close

Only minor disappointment was that the piscina of the village was still closed

Everything we need for the activities and to face the weather on the islands (rain, sun) is available. Umbrella , beach umbrella, tracking poles, surf boards, even e-step for the children. Location of the house also good. Nice view, short walking distance to small supermarket, cafe en restaurant. The sounds of the wave become a lullaby at night and the birds chirping is our morning alarm.

Extra coat stand or rack will be better. The door to the terrace roof make a lot of noice. The shower crane is a bit of a puzzle and the water temperature is not consistent. But these are minor.
