Clean and comfortable close to station.

Difficult to communicate. All communication was done on the google app. Elena couldn't speak any English. No Wifi for the first 2 nights I was there. I had to use my mobile data on my phone and couldn't connect my tablet. You had to use a complicated system to enter the unit. It worked well for the first two days, and then on the third day, I was locked out. After messaging Elena, I finally got in. I was too afraid to get locked out again, so I stayed in until departure. There is not enough hot water to shower and wash your hair. The hot water tank wasn't large enough. There is no hot water in the kitchen. Utensils washed in cold water, or you can boil water from the kettle. I wouldn't stay there again.

It was a central location. It was spacious enough.

It says on Booking that there is parking but there is not. We called the host about this, but she did not speak a word of English. Booking should fix this in their offering. The next morning we returned after breakfast and were locked out of the apartment, which was done by an automatic lock. We called to be let in, but again the person on the phone only spoke Italian. She did not even try to explain anything slowly or try a few English words. She just kept on going in Italian that she full well knew we did not understand. There was a bad smell coming from the sewage in the bathroom. The way to get into the apartment is cumbersome and very impersonal.

Our thoughtful hostess left us a basket of pastries/snacks as well as coffee and tea, which was very unexpected and welcoming. We stayed in a one bedroom flat within walking distance of Old Town Verona, also near many cafes and restaurants. We found a local grocery store (Pam) and stocked up on breakfast groceries while enjoying lunch and dinner out. The air conditioning worked great to keep us comfortable during the hot and humid nights.

There was a language barrier during our communication leading up to and during the check-in process. Our hostess was messaging through Booking in Italian, so I was using Google translate to respond. While en route on the train, I used Google translate to keep in touch to update of our train's arrival time and also when we arrived at the building. There seemed to be a communication breakdown upon arrival when we were left standing outside of the building for 30 - 45 minutes with no communication. To be honest, we became concerned that something was very wrong. Thankfully, our hostess then arrived to let us in, but it was a very uncomfortable feeling.

Very clean and tidy and a 10 minute walk to the centre.
