Large 4 Bed House near River Thames

There was plenty of space

The property was grubby, the washing machine door was removed, no toilet paper. Towels and pillows were marked Confusion about keys and no response

Good location , felt like a family home. A bit ‘tired’ around tge edges but perfectly adequate for our 2 night stay

Parking a bit tricky. There’s space directly in front of the house for one car. There’s potential for parking another car on the side , however as it’s a shared drive with the neighbouring property access for them into their garage has to be taken into account. It’s at the top of a small cul de sac and parking is an issue for all the properties. We had 2 cars and managed to park both but potentially as the property sleeps 8 more than 2 cars could prove problematic

Location

Entry through the back door due to the front door being broken. There was no path, so had to walk through a narrow gate over wet, muddy grass in the dark. There was no information left for us. The property, while it served its purpose for two nights, lacked character and the facilities were very basic. The bathroom was in need of some attention with the paint peeling off the wall and ventilation poor.

TV instructions perhaps...we had a PC and connected via a cable....which worked for us

The price! To sleep up to 8 people it could not beat any hotels on price.

We arrived but couldn’t get in as the code to key box was not sent in advance so had to keep ringing the contact for some time. Around the back door leading into the dining room there was an infestation of ants and flying ants when we arrived, we cleared it the best we could but there was more the next day. It sleeps 8 but only 4 people can sit in the lounge, it could do with another sofa. The beds were so hard and uncomfortable. We only stayed 2 nights could not have stayed any longer.
