A.I.R. Sorrento Apartment

The view of the balcony was quite nice.

We paid 150€ / night which seemed a lot for what we got. The toilet was outside of the room in a hallway. One needed to carry a key to be able to lock it when using it. The balcony was shared with the neighbouring apartment. There was a swimming pool but we were told it can only be used after getting permission from someone. There was a duvet in a closet that was absolutely covered in dust.

Very basic. Needs updating. Toilet seat broken. Doors wouldn't close. Could hear everything in next room. Dirty laundry in cupboard.

Location was good

Staff organization and treatment was not great. The keys weren’t left in the lock box as promised so we had to wait to enter. Some beds disn’t have sheets. We were missing towels. The AC unit in the living room didn’t work. Shutters in the main bedroom didn’t work.

Do not stay here under any circumstances

Our first night here is something I will never forget the host was so rude and wouldn’t let us inside the gate and told us to keep ringing the bell so we stood outside for an hour with all our bags and he’d stopped replying and go off his phone while I was pleading with him to let us inside. We only ever got in as a resident let us in if it wasn’t for that I don’t know what we would have done. The properly were contacted by booking.com and didn’t seem interested in offering any resolution to the terror we experienced. It looked nothing like the pictures, was dirty, grotty inside, the pool was empty of water and the aircon leaked water keeping us awake and went all over the floor and bedside table and over my phone. There were holes in the sheets and the toilet is completely across the hall unpractical for showering or going toilet at night and just completely unpleasant. It also shared an entrance with another apartment which shocked us and our neighbours both to see other people in our apartment. They affronted us confused why we were there. There are no curtains on the windows letting light in from 5am, the doors slam very loudly and the building is extremely noisy, easily wins the prize as the worst place I’ve ever stayed I’ve stayed in better hostels in developing countries while backpacking. DO NOT STAY HERE
