AVOID. Please do not book with this host. The caravan was fine, Marton Mere great and Blackpool will always have a special place in my heart. However, the owner of the caravan does not communicate. With anyone. The guests, Marton Mere, Booking.com. By direct email, text message, phone calls, or messages via booking.com. And this was over a period of about 10 weeks. The nature of my communications was basic: Have you received the booking forms? Could you send us a link to buy passes? Have you received the damage deposit? Could you provide WiFi as per the advert and we will of course pay? We were literally begging for her to respond in the few days before our stay. With a 7 and 12 year old to consider, and a very serious health issue not allowing us to go too far from home, which the host was well aware of, it was both a stressful and deeply hurtful experience. And as a result we never received WiFi in the caravan nor a link to pre book activities on site so many were sold out. We also missed out on early booking discounts for Blackpool's many attractions because we had no idea we would have anywhere to stay. Even if the host had a problem causing delay, just an acknowledgement of some sort would have been welcomed. In addition, it has been nearly 9 weeks since we left and I have only just received the damage deposit back from Booking.com. Again, no communication from the host. Booking.com seem to have acquired and attached an email address to me that doesn't exist and that is why I have spent hours on the phone to them for the deposit back. Albeit, those on the service desk have, for the most part, done their best. So my advice would be book another host or through Haven, don't avoid Marton Mere or Blackpool, but the ignorance of this host  means I would never recommend to anyone. And I won't be using Booking.com again either in spite of the previous good experiences.

"Was glad to leave."

Good location. Would have been a lovely stay if we had hot water, gas, a clean caravan, toilet paper and bed linen but sadly we had none of those things and no response from host throughout our stay.

It was dirty. Clearly not cleaned. Old food in fridge. Cigarette ash in bathroom. No gas. Boiler not working so no hot water. Host uncontactable. Still awaiting a response regarding all of this as it was unacceptable to arrive to caravan like this. I’ve got two very young children and to arrive to a dirty caravan and need to clean etc was just not at all ideal. I sadly booked without reading the reviews. I wish I had. I always give people the benefit of the doubt as I know there could be reasons for all these things but to not be contactable and to leave the caravan in that state for guests is shocking. DO NOT STAY HERE. Booking.com need to remove this property so that other people don’t have the same experience.

"Good for a short break away with children:)"

The property itself was in a great location with everything you could need either on-site, or offsite within a 10/15 minute drive from the pleasure Beach, plenty for the kids to do, an on-site play park, places to eat, and amusements. Staff were friendly.

When we arrived at the property, it had looked like it had not been cleaned, dishes were left lying on the sink, towels thrown in the cupboards, crumbs of food on the floors, we had to go to Asda and buy bed linen, (which we knew about because it states this isn’t provided) so whilst we were there we picked up some cleaning products and cleaned it once we arrived back at the caravan, communication with the host was a terrible experience, I called two days before to ask some questions, no answer after several tries, tried the day before again no answer, voicemail was left, sent text messages again no replies, sent WhatsApp messages again no reply. The communication and the cleanliness was the only two faults I had found disappointing, other than that, it was a great four nights away with myself and two adults and four children.

"Elaine the Scammer"

I went to the caravan with my wife, my grand child, nephew and our dog and the caravan was already booked. I went to reception to see if we could contact Elaine Leslie, but after a lot of calls and messages, from me, she still hasn't returned my calls or any messages. I have been scammed out of 494 pounds and the Staff at Haven holiday park Marton Mere, wouldn't help to try and contact this person. I had to drive about Blackpool for hours trying to get accommodation, it was very difficult, due to having a dog. I am absolutely raging with this scammer of a woman. Her caravan is 5 Buckingham. If anyone knows were this person lives, I would be grateful for the information, as she needs jailed and I need to be reimbursed my money she has stole off me. Marton Mere, also should be more helpful, in situations like this, as they refused to help in anyway. I travelled down from Scotland for this mini break and due to Elaine Leslie, it's the worst break I've ever had.

She's a scammer.
