Seaside Escapes - with relaxing hot tub!

Travelled to Scarborough by train so booked Seaside Escapes as a base with a hot tub guided by the strong reviews. Turned out to be an excellent choice for weeks holiday with no car. Location is convenient- turn left and there's a shop, chippy, bars and cafes a couple of minutes walk away, and more places to eat at the North beach, another 5 or so minutes walk. Owners are a small family business and have clearly put a lot of thought into the house; loved the decor and artwork,, not something I'd usually say about holiday rentals. . Beds are comfortable, as are the sofas when you're watching tv, and good lighting everywhere. Hot tub is checked regularly - met Simon's dad Philip a couple of times, friendly and helpful. Lucky with weather in July, but with demand avoidant teenage daughter spent a lot of time relaxing in the house or garden, although she enjoyed taking photos for school project in Peashome park, an evening at Alpamare, and various mini golfs.

There was nothing I didn't like, so many thoughtful touches

Comfortable house with everything we needed for our stay, comfiest beds in a holiday let I’ve ever slept in! Nice welcome basket and hot tub was great. Simon was quick to answer queries beforehand. No problem getting parked outside the house, it’s a great location for North Bay area, some cafes and restaurants couple of mins walk from the house along with some small shops.

Not the property’s fault but the seagulls are out of control again in Scarborough and very noisy!

Stayed 3 night. But place was so dirty in some places filthy. Happy to go into details with the owner. Literally even sink splashback had someone's spit all over it, kettle dirty, kitchen sink dirty, some dishes were dirty. So many cobwebs. Cleaner arrived dead on ten, blond lady/white car, just as we got into our car. Didn't even knock. We could of been running behind. The welcome hamper wasn't welcoming, just odd random stuff from the Coop.like it was just thrown together. Nothing from like a local farm shop, not the bottle of fizz advertised. Should treat all customers the same. I'd rather it be cleaner. We were gutted it wasn't like others experience. After adding review to Google I received a response from owner- sent email with further detail and information. But haven't had a reply. We have more than 4 photos but that's all booking will allow, I'm left questioning previous reviews as the build up of dust/dirt doesn't happen overnight. I have since sent an email directly to yourselves as per Google review response but no reply. Unfortunately can only upload 4 photos on here. Have others.

Beautifully appointed home with all amenities. We were a family of three. Beds were super comfy and coming back to the hot tub after full days of exploring was truly magnificent. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and meant we could make ourselves a fab cup of Yorkshire tea as soon as we arrived.

A lovely clean and comfortable house with outside the door parking and a greatly situated base to then explore Scarborough. The hosts (who were great with contact pre and post stay) provided treats to make us feel even more at home. Then the hot tub was a brilliant feature and nice way to end the evening pre getting into some really comfy beds.

Beautiful house in a perfect location. Loved the hot tub and the welcome hamper. Will definitely book again if we can find a weekend the house is available!!.
