Clove Island Villas & Spa

We had a truly lovely stay at Clove Island! The bungalows are spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view, and we felt very relaxed in our room. The staff and managers were always kind and helpful — when we came back one day with a sunburn, they immediately brought us Aloe Vera, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The food was good, and they offered vegan options when we asked, which I really appreciated. It was also very convenient to be able to book activities and taxis directly through the hotel. The beach is much quieter than in Nungwi, with far fewer beachboys, which creates a very calm and pleasant atmosphere. We also enjoyed watching the tides — the strong ebb and flow were really interesting and gave the beach a special charm. Every evening, the staff sprayed our bed against mosquitoes, which was really nice. And one night there was a live band, which made the evening feel extra special. Overall, we had a wonderful time and felt very well taken care of 🥰

The only thing that could be improved is having a bit more drinking water available :)

The Breakfast provided was Fabulous. Lot's to choose from and always delivered with a smile and to perfection. It's impossible not to be impressed by what's on offer. Something for everyone. What more do you need.

If we had found something we didn't like...we would be telling lies. I will use this to tell you, 2 metres from the apartment to the pool, 5 metres to the most glorious beach and incredible Indian Ocean. If you are lucky, you will see so much, flying fish, clear water 29 degrees. All unbelievable, but the Management and Staff play a major role and made our stay an experience to never be forgotten.

Wir kommen immer wieder hierher zurück, weil dieser Ort für uns ein wahrer Rückzugsort ist. Die Zimmer sind wunderschön gestaltet, sehr komfortabel und laden sofort zum Entspannen ein. Das gesamte Team ist außergewöhnlich herzlich – man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen. Auch kulinarisch ist es jedes Mal ein Highlight: eine fantastische Auswahl, liebevoll zubereitet und für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Du kannst von Früh bis Spät auf der Terrasse/Balkon im Zimmer mit Blick auf das Meer, am gemütlichen Pool oder in der Lounge die Köstlichkeiten genießen. Top Service. Ein besonderer Dank geht an Managerin Nevena, die mit ihrer herzlichen, freundlichen, aufmerksamen, liebevollen Art und ihrem perfekten Blick für Details unseren Aufenthalt immer wieder zu etwas ganz Besonderem macht. Zu unserem „Honeymoon“ wurden wir mit soviel Liebe überrascht und sind noch immer tief berührt & dankbar. Hier kannst du wirklich ALLES an Ausflügen und Transfers buchen - Dolphin Touren, Safaris, Spice Touren, Segelboot Touren, Stonetown, Prison Island, Sandbank Tour, Jozani Forest, Kitesurfen, Diving, Miet-Roller & Auto … - einfach alles was das Herz begehrt. Nach insgesamt sechs Monaten Aufenthalt auf Sansibar ist das Clove Island unser absoluter Favorit – und wir können es jedem von Herzen empfehlen.
