Large Kingsize ensuite in Kingswood, Bristol, BS15

The main bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and very nice. The TV was good. The vaulted ceiling gave a sense of space. Our hosts had left a folder full of suggestions for meal deliveries. The heating was good in late November. The situation, in a quiet road, was perfect for us. Great parking in the drive.

We were two retired people. The second bed was not suitable for an adult over 60 - not enough depth of mattress over the springs. Also, it took up all the remaining space in the room. I found a dirty sock under the bed. The fridge and the microwave are not accessible at the same time - a sliding door reveals one or the other. Washing up has to be done in the bathroom - although our hosts did mention in their folder that they would do it for us if required, but this didn't seem practical. Although completely separate, we were very aware that we were in a family's home, with an occasionally barking dog. Much more suitable for younger people, I imagine.

The bed was a bit soft for me, and the duvet way too warm - but that's just me! Certainly couldn't wouldn't class this as a negative, as most people would prefer to be warm!!

Facilities, room size...

The peace and quiet... there was everything I needed for a short comfy stay , I'll certainly miss the peacefulness of the area also... while travelling without a car ,it is easy to get around to the nearby shops and buses for larger shopping centres if needed.

Having to leave...

Good location with a bus stop within a 10-15 minute walk of the property, the buses could take you in either direction to Bristol or Bath. Apart from a toaster everything else was supplied for a self contained stay. If your into your Real Ale a great Micropub called the 'Lyons Den' situated in Kingswood town centre.

Would be ideal to state on the Booking.com website there is a 'German Shepherd' dog at this property. This is just in case people booking to stay at this property have an allergy to dogs which greeted you on arrival whenever you returned to the house to get into your room. A toaster would have been good.
