Otters Rural Retreat - Private Hot-Tub & Free Golf for guests included

Second time stopping at this site but first time at otters retreat. As for the site itself it is very quiet, there is not a lot there but not really an issue as it's an ideal base to go off travelling around. Easy to get to only a mile off the A1 and about 15mins from Alnwick and about 30 mins from bamburgh and sea houses etc. If you want a peaceful location then this site is ideal and otters retreat is situated at the far end of the site which makes it very peaceful. It is also situated 50yards from the woods/Forrest which are ideal if you have Dogs or kids wanting to explore. The tracks can get a little muddy so appropriate forward needed. As for the accommodation, it is ideal for a couple or family, although I would say the single beds maybe are a little snug if your taking mid to older teens but otherwise perfectly fine. Sofa bed is an option though.Set up in the accommodation is exactly what you need with all the relevant utensils/cooking facilities etc. Hot tub is a nice touch which worked well for us.it is a little open from people walking past but as it's so quiet you don't really see that many people and not an issue. Super fast WiFi kept the kids happy as did access to Netflix for us. Good welcome booklet with lots of details for food/takeaway etc and host gave us all the details we needed prior to attendance. Overall enjoyed otters retreat and having done research on the site it is very well priced for what you get.

Nothing really we didn't like. If you want to use the onsite bar/shop it is a good 20- 30min walk from the accommodation, we didn't use it but something to be aware of. You do need to take your own towels but that is made clear before you go There are the odd little parts of the accommodation that are showing wear and tear but all very minor.
