The Shed @ Stares Farm Cottage

It was incredibly clean and the hosts were extremely welcoming.

Amazing. The ultimate AirBNB experience...greeted upon arrival by the friendliest of people and a gourgeous lurcher, made to feel right at home and thoroughly looked after. Given our privacy during our stay and we really felt at home. The location is amazing, on a farm in a very rural and quiet setting, yet you're not that far from the hustle and bustle of the coast. There's also a great pub just a 10 minute walk away. The perfect combination. The 'Shed' is a fantastic property with a kitchen/dining area downstairs and a garden to sit in. Upstairs is a very comfortable lounge and a great bathroom with a fantastic shower. We were given everything we needed and more to settle right in...so thank you Martin, Rachel & Keira! If we're in the area again, we know exactly where to stay!

To be honest, very little. The beds were either very hard or very soft and a little short for a relatively tall chap like me (6'2"), but that was no real problem in getting a great nights' sleep still.

We had an amazing two night stay here and could not have asked for more. Martin, Rachel and Keira were the most excellent hosts….warm, helpful, friendly and lovely. The property was spotless, bright, had everything you need and decorated to a high standard and smelt gorgeous too! situated In the most beautiful setting in the countryside with lots of do and see, great walks around the area and some lovely places to eat too.

The cottage was perfect for us (3 girls visiting for a music festival), the right size, spotless and in a gorgeous location. We are forever grateful to Martin, Rachel & Kiera for their warmth and hospitality. If we ever go that far down south again, we will be staying at The Shed!

Wonderful hosts who clearly work extremely hard. The addition of the home grown vegetables, eggs and breads was an unexpected but extremely tasty bonus. We enjoyed talking to them about our days activities and also having the freedom to come and go as we please. Our four nights stay was delightful and memorable. The beautiful cottage was ideally located for all the many attractions and was surrounded by horses, alpaca's etc. Communication was thorough and friendly before our visit. Location is very quiet and safe with lots of free parking available. All the rooms were clean and very comfortable. Having access to a terrace and garden was also lovely. We would 100% recommend to friends and family and can not wait to return again soon.

Everything was perfect. We felt very welcome and well looked after. The atmosphere is very cosy and it felt as we're staying at home. We've even been given free range eggs and home grown tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and courgette. Amazing owners and brilliant place!

Food was provided but there was everything you needed to make your own. The cottage was down a longish roadway and was surrounded by fields with horses and alpacas roaming. It was idyllic, just the sounds of nature all around you. Because of the roadway to the cottage Martin the host was actually waiting for me by the main road to make sure I didn't miss the turning. A perfect host.

I honestly don't think anything could have been better. Everything had been thought of and everything was there.
