My 4th stay. Love it, perfect for an overnight stop over as easy access to Carlisle, penrith, m6 and west coast. Lovely view across open farm fields when you sit out on the decking.

A couple of outdoor cushions for the chairs would be great

Beautifully presented. Nice aspect overlooking the paddocks. Very clean inside with soft linen. Friendly host. Bathroom is quite sufficient despite being small.

Very cramped for two people. Bed is really only suitable for one person. Cutlery and crockery is minimal. A pair of tongs would be useful. No milk provided for tea and coffee. Condiments lacking. Pepper but no salt!! Very close to the main road. Traffic all night. Road directly in front of hut is also a public road with traffic during the day. Hut faces the western sun so in summer is really warm inside making it uncomfortable to sleep at night….cant leave windows open because of traffic noise. None of the window coverings stop the light coming in.

the location was perfect, the views amazing and attention to detail is fantastic. highly recommend this shepherds hut, and one piece of advice would be trust the directions on booking.com
