Another person booked to stay at Rebecca’s, but was knocking on the door and shouting at 10:30pm - felt very intimidated and uncomfortable but contacted Rebecca and she actioned asap and apologised so not her fault! however phone call was continued inside and very loud, shoes were kept on and the room he was located to was room 2 upstairs - directly above the room I stayed in which resulted in hearing everything - this person continued to walk around and then was up again several times throughout the night that unsettled and woke me up, resulting in barely any sleep. Of course not Rebecca’s fault but I would suggest if only two people staying that they are allocated rooms that are not next to / above/ below to save the noise / creaking and sleepless night.

Excellent place, just as described in the overview. The house has 4 rooms (3 upstairs and one downstairs) and is located in very quiet residential area. I only booked for a single room but it had a nice large double bed. The room seemed to have been recently refurbished and was spacious. There was a good TV and remote which worked (strangely in many places the remote is missing or the batteries died ages ago). There is a also nice little clean kitchen as well which I did not need or use, but this would be a BIG plus for anyone staying for a few days or more. There are no ensuite bathrooms, but that is exactly as stated on the overview and there are only 4 single rooms in the house so hardly a problem. The toilet was nice and clean so I was quite happy with the arrangement. I came by the X12 bus from Birmingham airport which took a little more than half an hour. The name of the stop was Mey Coppice but the driver had no idea where that was so I had to keep an eye on Google Maps to get off at the right stop...which is only about 100 metres from the house. The owner of the house (presumably Becky) does not live at the address so there is a keybox and she gives the code over the phone! It worked fine but I don't like this process as it has caused me problems in other places in the past (mainly London). I also found a great Carvery for my dinner about a mile away from the house. It's called the "Toby Carvery" and it's in Castle Bromwich (don't confuse it with the the Toby Jug which is a pub quite close to the house). The entry process could be improved. The idea is to go to the address and then give them a ring and they explain how to get in. I'd suggest an email with an explanation and the box entry code would be an improvement.

The room was fine and comfortable. It was easy to get sorted on arrival inspite of the fact it was over a phone conversation. I was offered a choice of rooms. There was no problem with the shared bathroom which was clean and readily available hot water for bathing.

There was no remote for the TV in the room and it did not seem possible to use nor was the TV in the lounge area usable. It did say in the booking information that TV was in the room, I expected more than a physical TV in the room. That being said it was not really a problem as there was free good WiFi and I could use that to watch TV on my tablet.
